see a doctor about this. My hand slides to my shoulder when the pain doesn’t alleviate and I try to ignore Lucas and Seth’s gaze on it while I rub the tightness out of the muscles. Maybe I should talk to coach about upping my painkillers at the next game. On impulse, my body shudders at the thought of the needle sinking into the sore muscle.

“I can’t believe she actually went for it,” says Lucas. He guzzles down the rest of his beer in his red cup before tossing it over his shoulder and grabbing another on the tilted coffee table in front of him.

Seth scoffs. “She’s a fucking idiot.” He chugs the rest of his drink and snaps his fingers at the pledge dressed as a tooth fairy. He prances over and hands Seth another drink. “Of course she’d go for it.”

“I wonder what else she’ll do,” says Lucas, taking a sip from his cup with a mischievous look. He smirks over the room of his cup, his expression turning dark. Sick bastard. Sometimes I really wonder what goes on in that head of his.

“Oooooh!” Seth shouts, bounding up from the chair and shoving his legs under him and dirtying the cushion with his muddy shoes. He’s obviously drunk, because sober Seth would die from mortification from dirtying anything. Responsible fucker. “I bet she’ll do anything we tell her to!” He shouts, pointing at Lucas, beer dribbling down from his mouth. “You smart bastard.”

Lucas chuckles and shrugs, taking another sip from his cup. “What can I say? I see an opportunity and I take it.”

“We could make her clean our rooms.” Seth chugs the rest of his drink and snaps his finger for another.

That definitely catches my attention. My room hasn’t been cleaned since I moved in. Honestly, I don’t even think it was clean then. I just remember unloading the boxes and digging through them occasionally when I can’t find something I need. Everything is in a pile on the floor. I don’t even use my dresser. It’s probably empty. Or filled with Playboys.

I frown thinking about the dresser. My mom helped me get that dresser. I tug out my phone, looking to see if there are any missed calls. One from Betsy. I roll my eyes. I’ll put that off when I’m desperate. I don’t need any two stars in my life. But none from my mother. I should probably call her tomorrow and see how the chemotherapy is going. I should have asked her about it today.

Why am I such a terrible son? Maybe I should drive over to her place and make sure she has everything.

“Earth to Hunter,” says Seth in a low, obnoxious voice, waving his hand in front of my face. “Come in Hunter.”

I shake my head. I can worry about Mom tomorrow. “What?” I chuckle, trying to push away my stupid worries.

“What do you think?”

“You know I don’t think Seth.”

Seth rolls his eyes. “About psycho roommate.” He waggles his eyebrows. “You have a list of chores we could make her do?”

“Breakfast would be wonderful.”

Seth faces Lucas and grimaces. “Ah, yeah, your breakfasts are nasty.” Seth nearly gags.

Lucas shrugs. “They’re not so bad.”

I nod in agreement. “Nah, bro. They smell fucking nasty.”

Lucas looks down at his phone and smiles. “Looks like I’m up boys.” He sets down his cup and straightens his shirt. “Millie messaged me. Guess it’s my turn to be with the sexy, flexible gymnast.”

“Oh, man,” Seth groans and bows down. “Enjoy. She’s a treat.”

I smile, and lean back against the couch, ignoring another jolt of pain going up my shoulder. “Have fun.”

My thoughts drift to Millie and her huge breasts, her tight ass. Just yesterday I was fucking her and the bitch put her leg over her head. I mean, directly over her head as if it was nothing. I feel my lips curl into a smile at the thought. Definitely need to keep her around for at least the next semester.

Pyscho roommate also isn’t so bad on the eyes. Sure, she never smiles. Her face seems permanently set in a scowl, but she has a pretty nice figure for not being a sporty girl. Nice ass. Pretty face even when she’s angry. Bad temperament. Although, that might be good in bed.

“Hey Seth,” I tap my cup, thinking of psycho roommate naked. How would that look? “Do you think psycho girl would be good in bed?”

Seth grimaces, his cup to his lips, yet he’s not drinking. His expression darkens and I wonder if he’ll chuck his drink at the wall. “No,” he grumbles. “I think she would be worse than Betsy.”

He drinks, not bothering to say anything more on the topic. He’s surprisingly quiet, given there’s a room full of chicks behind us dropping it like it’s hot and Martin shouting about a keg stand.

Although, I’m not sure Seth’s assessment on our new roommate is accurate. I mean, how could it be if none of us have really tried fucking her. I side eye him for a moment, taking in his scowl. Seth was never one to get so irritated with a girl before. Other than bumping into me and demanding we clean, she hasn’t really done anything crazy. It might actually be fun having her sneak into my room and ride me to the moon and back.

I stare down at my beer, scowling down at its contents. Or maybe I’ve had too much to drink. This is Seth and all. If he doesn’t like her, it’s probably for a good reason.

“Hey,” Seth hits my arm, smiling over the rim of his cup. I swear the guy always blames me and Lucas for getting him trashed, but it’s not my fault he always seems to have a cup in his hands. “You want a nice breakfast tomorrow.” He smiles wickedly.

“Sure, Seth. I’m always up for good food.”

Seth rubs his hands together and laughs. “I have an idea.”
