ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jacqueline Suskin is a poet based in Northern California. She is the author of The Collected (Publication Studio, 2010), Go Ahead & Like It (Ten Speed Press, 2014), The Edge of The Continent Volume One: The Forest (Rare Bird Books, 2018), The Edge of the Continent Volume Two: The City (Rare Bird Books, 2019), Help in the Dark Season: Poems (Write Bloody Publishing, 2019), and The Edge of the Continent Volume Three: The Desert (Rare Bird Books, 2020). Known for her project Poem Store, Suskin composes improvisational poetry for patrons who choose a topic in exchange for a unique verse. From 2009–2019, Poem Store was her main occupation, taking her around the world writing more than forty thousand spontaneous poems. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, T magazine, the Los Angeles Times, The Atlantic, and other publications.
