âWhat do you think?â Lenny asked.
âIâm not a mind reader.â
âWell, I do need to know -- are you circumcised?â
âWhat difference does that make?â the stud asked.
âWell, all the difference,â said Lenny, glancing at the kitchen. Dumb fuck. He was probably shitty at poker, too.
The stud eyed him anâ said, âI am.â
âHow much to show me?â Lenny asked.
Jeremy reached down anâ dug into his jeans anâ pulled out a badge! He was a fuckinâ cop! I fuckinâ knew it!
âHow âbout I show you this?â he said. âIâm citing you for solicitation of prostitution.â
âOh, shit!â Lenny squeaked -- swear to God, he squeaked!
Thatâs when I took a chance anâ barged in with a bottle of beer.
âHey, Wayne, what thâ fuckâs goinâ on?â I asked Lenny, but I was lookinâ straight at the cop. âThis better be somebody here for big-bad-Lenny, bitch.â
The pig jumped anâ backed to the door, badge up as he all but screamed, âHold it, right there!â
I stopped anâ looked at him like he was nuts. âWhat thâ fuckâs your problem?â I asked, then I called up the stairs, âHey, Lenny, you steppinâ out, tonight?â
Wayne came down, shootinâ daggers at me with his eyes. But he got the message. Lenny was all but pissinâ in his pants, but Wayne, fuckinâ Wayne picked up the slack, beautifully. Right then I knew Iâd better take a good hard second look at him, big-time. âOkay, fine, letâs get the jokes over with. So I called a fuckinâ escort service?! So fuckinâ what? I needed a date.â
Jeremy was gettinâ real confused, so he opened the door anâ yelled for his back-up -- two uniforms lookinâ like they wanted to bust somebodyâs balls. I stood stock still in my spot, eyeinâ all three of the pigs like they were the scum they were, anâ I laughed. âFuckinâ shit, Lenny, you called a cop!â
âBullshit!â said Wayne anâ he turned his glare on the stud. âLet me see your badge!â
âStay where you are!â The stud was about to come unglued. Anâ now his backup was more confused than ready to break bones.
âWhatâs goinâ on, Shayes?â one of âem asked.
âI dunno,â the stud said, âbut all these guysâre under arrest for soliciting prostitution. Anâ weâre takinâ âem in!â
âYou fuckinâ kiddinâ me?!â I snarled, anâ I made it a good one. Jeremy -- Shayes looked at me, anâ he kept his eyes on me from then on. âI come in thâ room after youâre already yellinâ at my buddy here -- .â
âYour buddy asked me for sex.â
âMy buddy ainât asked you for shit, ass-wipe.â
âI already got you! He made the request -- !â
âYou got shit! I was in the kitchen anâ I didnât hear Wayne ask you for one fuckinâ thing. He told you to wait anâ Lennyâd be right out, thatâs it.â
âIt doesnât matter what you say, asshole. What matters is what goes in my report!â Then he motioned to the uniforms. âHeâs up for resisting arrest.â
One of the uniforms started for me, anâ I didnât budge. It was Wayne who stopped him, cold. He got real quiet anâ said, âAll right, arrest us. Take us down to jail. I have an excellent attorney. I have friends at GLAAD and the ACLU. And we have the word of three men versus one. Unless youâre wearing a wire. But somehow I donât think you are, seeing as how youâre really the cocky sort who just knows any juryâd believe him instead of a fucking faggot. So by this time, tomorrow, weâll have your asses for lunch, anâ we wonât even need to pay for them.â
Shayes gave off just a hint of hesitation, but it was enough for me to pick up on. I smiled anâ turned anâ put my hands behind my head. The uniform pig went ahead anâ frisked me anâ was about to twist my hands around to cuff me as he was mouthinâ off, âYou have the right to remain silent -- . â But thatâs as far as he got before I heard Shayes say, âAw, fuck it! It ainât worth the trouble.â
I pulled my hands away from the pig anâ turned around to look at Shayes. Lenny got weak in the knees anâ sat against the arm of the couch. He was whiter than the studâs shirt. Anâ âthe studâ was redder than my dick, he was so pissed.
âBut I still wanna see your identification,â he said, tryinâ hard to sound like he was still under control anâ not doinâ a real good job of it.
âNo,â I said.
âI can demand it,â he said, gettinâ angrier.
âOn the street,â I said back. âThis is a private home, anâ it ainât in fuckinâ Georgia, so you wanna pull that shit, you take it outside. You wait till we leave, anâ you make up some excuse to stop us anâ see what it gets you, then, officer Shayes.â
Shayes glared at me like he was tryinâ to print my face on his brain. Then he looked at Lenny, who looked at me like he was about to puke. Then Shayes looked at Wayne, who just shook his head, stepped back anâ leaned against the doorâs frame. Thatâs when he knew it was an all or nothinâ situation; either he busted us anâ dealt with the uproar thatâd follow or he walked.
The fuck made what looked like the right decision to himself -- he walked. He had his uniforms head out, first, then he started after âem.
But then he was dumb shit enough to look at me anâ mutter,
