“Mmmm,” she moaned around his length.
Adonis snarled at her, so she did it again. He snapped his teeth in the air, nearly coming apart.
“Mine,” she added in his head.
He yanked away from her, and she coughed with her sudden freedom and then smiled tauntingly at her mate.
Dangerous.
Stupid.
Fucking undeniably needed.
Adonis was on her in a flash, lifting her to her feet before turning her and roughly pressing her down on the table. He kicked her legs apart, and liquid desire slipped from her core and traced a path down her leg.
This man undid her.
He broke apart every misconception she had of herself, tore at the walls she tried to erect, and forced himself into her private safe space. She couldn’t deny him anything. When the hot head of his cock kissed her entrance, she arched her back and moaned.
Fabiana wanted him, wild and free. She wanted to prove she could take him, that she could stand beside him and give as good as she got.
She wasn’t weak or broken.
She was a battle-scarred warrior who’d weathered the storms.
He drove into her in one stroke to the hilt. She screamed, planting her hands on the table on either side of her to keep steady. He had her on her tiptoes with each thrust and she couldn’t find purchase.
“Adonis, help … me.”
“Demand your pleasure. Claim it, pequeña.”
“Fuck me!”
He gripped her hips instantly, providing the anchor she needed and pulling her onto his length with every move. He moved faster, jerking her body against his in a punishing rhythm that left her reeling. All she could do was lay her cheek to the cool table and breathe.
“No. Don’t leave me, not yet.”
The sting of his palm on her ass swelled as heat blossomed over her flesh, and she shoved back against him.
“Yes,” he hissed.
She gripped his wrists at her hips and flung her ass at him, growling each time his balls slapped her clit.
They were vicious, rough, violent.
For all her hating a man who used his strength to hurt others, Fabiana didn’t believe she could be satisfied with soft and gentle ever again. She needed this forced bliss, a tearing of her fantasies until all that remained were two bodies battling for supremacy.
They both wanted to win over the other.
“Make me come,” she ordered.
Adonis leaned over and moved the chair closer to him. Resting a foot on it, he lifted one of her legs and pushed her knee up and out. His next thrust was deeper, battering at the base of her.
“Yes.”
He released her hips and crossed her wrists at the small of her back, gripping them with one hand. His free hand branded the back of her neck, holding her in place.
He wrecked her.
Every stab into her demanded a scream. His growled demands in her ear triggered quivers in her womb.
They would eat each other alive, consume one another.
Fabiana wouldn’t survive loving him. If he hurt her, she’d shatter into too many pieces to put back together. For the first time, she feared someone more than she’d feared her father.
Adonis could not just break her spirit; he’d rip apart her soul.
But even knowing it, fearing the fall from the razor edge she danced on down to the ragged rocks below, she couldn’t’ stop.
Wouldn’t stop.
“Come for me. Let me feel it.”
She gripped his cock, wave after wave of energy sizzling her insides. Climaxing seemed impossible for as long as she’d been riding on a high, but he lowered himself a bit and hit some spot deep in her sensitive tissue that sent her careening into her crest.
“Adonis!”
“Fabiana!”
He roared, delivering harder, staggering slams that kept her muscles tense and her clit pulsing. She gasped for breath, but he didn’t let her rest until his hot seed filled her. Adonis released her wrists and curled around her body.
Their hearts pounded as one, their breath nothing more than staccato pants.
“Maybe I was wrong, pequeña.”
“What do you mean?
“I think I may not be the one in control at all.”
Chapter Fourteen
“Alpha mate, you need to eat.”
“Just a little more, Billie, and I’ll be right there.
“You said that three hours ago, young lady, and two hours before that. It’s nearly midnight and you haven’t done more than pick at a breakfast sandwich.”
Fabiana winced. She wasn’t hungry. Anytime she had a puzzle to solve or work to do in a lab, it was easy to lose herself in it. Pasquale or Giuliana usually forced her away, but here, no one but Adonis would put his hands on her, and he was away handling some issue at one of the casinos.
She remembered what he’d told her about people fearing when he had to show up, and she may have been trying to distract herself more than normal.
He still hadn’t returned.
“Let’s go.”
“Billie, really, I’m fine. It’s been nearly a week and a half. The Alpha, capitán, and tenientes all have their suits, and with a bit more coding we can be on schedule for the others to have theirs. If I can beat the deadline and streamline the process a little more, I can get a unit outfitted in three weeks instead of four.”
“And maybe drop dead while you’re at it. Adonis would kill us. Just come eat. We can come back after that.”
Fabiana nodded but didn’t move. She needed to work on this evergreen scent algorithm for one of the suits. It was proving to be one of the hardest so far. Every time she thought she had it,
