He was a fine specimen of a man as Sari said. There was not an ounce of flab on him anywhere. He smelled as if he were a part of the surrounding forest. She noticed his scent the two other occasions she found herself pressed against him. The first when he rescued her from the Agenors, and the second the previous morning when he pressed her against the tree. Even with perspiration gleaning on his body, he smelled of forest, and the scent aroused her then too. Not that she needed help with that part. Her eyes roamed his fine honed chest muscles, down his flat, tight stomach, down further and abruptly stopped. She tilted her head to the side and stared. She knew what a man looked like, not in person, but she researched it. Her research didn't show her anyone that looked like he did. Even in his state of rest he was impressive or maybe it was her state of arousal that made it seem that way.
"Like the view?"
Kaily startled. Her eyes flew to her dark warrior's. He had the most intriguing eyes she ever saw. She still found mesmerizing. The heat on her cheeks overrode her mesmerized state. She knew her face was flaming with heat from embarrassment. She suddenly felt uncomfortably hot, hotter than she already felt. She turned on her heels with the intent to flee as fast as her legs would carry her. Before she knew what happened, she found herself flat on her back, and staring up into her dark warrior's eyes. To say that he was on top of her was not precisely true. It was more like, half of him, but it was enough to pin her to the ground without crushing her.
He was fast, she would give him that.
She pushed at the hard wall of his bare chest. "Get off me!" He didn't budge, not even in the slightest bit. Neither did he appear to notice she pushed at him with all her might.
"No." Amusement shone from the depths of his eyes and echoed in his tone.
Kaily gave up her useless struggle to push him off her and looked away. "At least, put your clothes on." She felt him pressed against her thigh and it seemed to be growing more impressive with each passing moment.
"Umm. No!" In addition to amusement there was something else in his tone that Kaily couldn't quite identify.
"You were supposed to be sleeping." She said. She felt both embarrassed and uncomfortable. She felt like a child staring where she should not. To be pressed beneath him was more than she wanted to endure. It did nothing to alleviate her own state of arousal. She didn't think she could endure more before she withered from need, and that increased her embarrassment. She never wanted a man to touch her as much as she wanted him to touch her. She felt too embarrassed to be touched by him. A difficulty to say the least.
"Someone's staring woke me up."
"I wasn't staring." She felt her dark warrior's fingers slide down the side of her cheek to her chin. He turned her face back towards his. Kaily closed her eyes.
"You were." He said. "Look at me." He commanded.
Kaily shook her head in defiance and kept her eyes closed. Soft laughter drifted to her ears. His breath caressed her cheek.
"Look at me." He said. His voice felt soft and seductive.
Kaily's breathing was short and shallow. She found it difficult to breath. Her heart beat faster. She took a deep breath and slowly opened her eyes. His silver webbed eyes locked with hers and held her enthralled in a spell she couldn't break. She didn't want to break. He wasn't ignoring her now.
"Better." He brushed her hair back and traced the line of her lips, the length of her nose, and the side of her neck.
Kaily's eyes drifted shut as his tender caresses sent waves of pleasure rippling through her.
"Open your eyes." His tone held tenderness, but also firmness.
Kaily didn't deify him. Her eyes locked with his. He smiled at her. A true smile. She could feel the moisture pool between her legs. Her eyes locked with his as he leaned closer and took her scent deep into his lungs. She saw something surface in the depths of his eyes she didn't have words to describe. There was an intensity of emotion there that abruptly rose. She suddenly felt afraid. She wasn't afraid of her dark warrior, but of the power of his emotions.
He didn't say anything, and she found it difficult to draw a normal breath into her lungs. He kept his gaze locked with hers. He cradled Kaily's head in the crock of his arm which served as a pillow. She felt the flames of desire travel the path of his other hand as it slowly traveled down the length of her. When his arm stretched to its full length, he pulled up her dress inch by slow inch until his fingers skimmed the hem and he touched the bare skin of her leg. His hand traveled back up the length of her leg, taking the edge of her dress with it. She wanted to help him remove the impediment of her clothing, to place his hand where she needed him to touch her most. She didn't move for fear of breaking the spell. After an excruciatingly long time, his hand cupped the center of her desire. She thought she heard or felt a sudden intake of breath as if he found the same difficulty to draw breath that she did. She squirmed as his finger circled the outside of her opening.
"You did like the view." He said.
Kaily blushed and turned her head away from him.
He cupped the side of
