The twenty lengths of wood appeared in front of him and he asked the older man about a workroom. The Jeweler led him to a room in the back and left him to his work. Since none of the patterns used anything but Wooden Slabs, he turned all twenty of the logs into slabs.

I guess they make it easier to get the experience since you need to buy the materials. I didn’t see Wood Chopping in the list of skills as a Jewelcrafter.
Armed with 120 Wood Slabs, he surveyed his options. They all seemed similar, so he took the approach he recently did with woodworking. He made one of each to gauge their experience.
You gained 40 experience for crafting Wooden Idol.
You gained 40 experience for crafting Wooden Figurine.
Success! You’ve reached level 4 in Jewelcrafting.
You gained 50 experience for crafting Wooden Buttons.
The idol and figurine were identical in experience, but the buttons offered a little more on top. They all used only 1 Wood Slab. Not worrying about their sell value but knowing the buttons would probably stay steady since they were a crafting item, he used his Create Wooden Buttons ability 100 times. His body sped into motion and his small knife from the Jewelcrafter’s Tool Bag whittled the pieces down to size. It took a couple hours to complete, but he finally finished.

Damn, it’s nice having spare money to power level some crafting.
Collecting the plethora of buttons in buckets, he walked back to the master jewelcrafter.
“I’d like to sell some items.”
The old man looked up at him before his eyes bulged.
“That’s an enormous amount of buttons. How many do you have?”
“I’d guess one thousand and ten. I also have one figurine and one idol.”
“That should make the tailors exceptionally happy. Some of their stock has been running low lately with the influx of new people.”
The menu popped open and Atlas checked the prices. The idol and figurine each sold for 35 copper, making him 5 copper on each sale. The buttons were a different story. He made 1 copper on each button. At face value, it sounded horrible. Then he realized he’d made 10 silver and 10 copper on an initial investment of 6 silver. He also still had 17 Wooden Slabs left.
Excited about his gains, he checked for new patterns. Multiple greeted him and he bought them all without a care.

Holy crap! I’m about to make a fortune!
The advice he received from Master Grannith was fantastic. The sheer amount of rings he had to use meant he was about to skyrocket in levels, and there was a superb chance that these would sell for much more than he was going to get otherwise.
“I need to go check on something, but I’ll be back,” Atlas said as he dashed out of the building.
His path led him straight back to the woodworking shop. The buckets of rings called to his need to craft. He barged through the door and Master Grannith smiled at him.
“Took my advice, huh?”
“Sure did. I owe you one for that. He had enough logs in stock for me to get high enough to make rings, so I’m about to get to work.”
The woodworking master nodded at that, “Just make sure you don’t make them all into the same ring otherwise the price will be next to nothing by the end.”
Atlas dashed to the back and grabbed the buckets out of the storage room and carried them to the workroom. With mindless abandon, he sat in the room and crafted ring after ring. The process was simple and most of it was him using a fine tool to carve symbols into the ring. When he finished the last of the lines, the rings sucked in a small surge of magic from their surroundings and turned into uncommon items. Each were for their specific attribute and each granted +1 to the attribute.
Originally he planned to create 98 of each of the rings. This idea stopped when he realized few people were bound to search for Spirit rings. Instead, he made 52 of the Spirit rings and 110 of each of the others.

The amount of experience stunned him. The items themselves hadn’t taken long to make. The amount of experience was slightly depressing
