Vision of Love

His body's heat surrounds me, taunting me
I feel his fingers slowly trace the smooth curve of my waist
He looks through my deep, wanting, mesmerizing blue eyes
He can read my thoughts, my soul, my desires
I touch his strong yet comforting face with my hands
Slowly, taking in all his emotions through my touch
I run my hands down his face, his neck, and rest on his broad shoulders
We are connected by a mystical force
As if our bodies knew we were soul mates
Drawn into each other, desiring desperately to be touched, caressed
Our lips are magnetically pulled together
The first kiss
So soft, so gentle, yet fully charged
He pulls away slowly, making me wait, making me desire
My body begins to quiver with anticipation
I am ready, I am...
I open my eyes, we are there together, just as I imagined
My vision begins to clear
I am alone
For a moment forgetting reality
The reality that he is gone
Gone to secure our freedom
Gone to protect me, our country, our way of life
For now, this vision is all I have...and that is all I need...
