One of the ancients,once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

This one's for you

I gather my thoughts, and have sat down to write,
Today is special, and I want it to be right;
I am searching for words, and they just come by,
Thinking about you and old times, it takes me high.

Do you remember that day, when I was crying? ,
You were laughing at me, but you said it'd be fine;
It was last day of school, and we were moving away,
I was sure you'd miss me, each night and day.

Life has its own destiny, and we could not change it,
But I was so wrong, you taught me how to rebuild it;
I'd have fallen and lost all, had you not held my hand,
You were there for me, from the start till the end.

And then one fine day, as I was watching you dance,
You just fell down, and sort of went into a trance;
But you won't get up, and I didn't knew what to do,
They put tubes and wires, and said your days were few.

I sat next to your bed, counting breadth that you took,
Your eyes were blank and there was sadness in your look;
And then you closed your eyes, I thought you were asleep,
Today, you are there with me in my thoughts I still keep.

I remember what you'd told to me, when you were still fine,
When people die, they become star and from far, they shine;
So, I go out at night, when there is a clear sky,
And I look at a star, that's you, and ask Why?

Then I see the twinkle, as if making fun of my misery,
And I realize you told me, not to lose hope and be free;
So, here I am, my dear friend, to make you always proud,
I will write you a poem, and friendship will be its shroud.

Now, you can go back to sleep, it's going to be dawn,
I will make a life for myself, and I will just go on;
Today is the day when we met, and your words were so true,
So, my dearest friend, the poem This one's for you.
