The clouds are black and white with shades of gray
A silver mist descending from above
No joy is to be found on this bleak day
The rain is dousing all clear thoughts of love
The fog is drifting through the troubled street
The ghostly chill is running down our spines
The icy wind and the ground soon shall meet
Tracing down our windows watery lines
The children will soon splash into the mud
Tracking thick, muddy footprints everywhere
Falling into the quickly flowing flood
But they still laugh and shriek without a care
Next time it rains the joy it must not end
Cause rain is not that bad-it is your friend!
The drumroll sounds across the silver sky
The rain it falls like bullets to the ground
The lightning flashes past the clouds up high
Making a high pitched, very frightning sound
The sun rays struggle to break through the gloom
The icy wind roams the deserted streets
And we all shriek as the dark sky yells boom
And also as the lightning and ground meet
We cannot hear each other talk or think
As rain lashes against our thick house walls
We bring the rain and lightning to the brink
We wonder who will win this stormy brawl
Next time it rains we will be more prepared
For what the dreadful storm next wants to share.
