The Sudden Event

Together, they were greeted with a shock
Suli, now a place for carcasses
A night off our togetherness
A trauma ten times unbelievable
Together the warriors sensed the cause
Perceived their penetrating presence
King Ming and his teeming army
The human devil
Against some mundane warriors
Like an elephant vs. an ant
Together they encircled themselves
With heads down in dejection
But minds as dense as a rock
Their bodies ready to demolish any obstacles
And sense reading:
“Together we can conquer the unconquered”
Together they meditated in their minds
With swords held up
United in one vertex
And yearning for slaughter
Their spirit on fire with vengeance
The distant war cries in sight
Their bodies lined up against them
Together they can smile for assured victory
Their obscured martial art yet to be disclosed
For one whiz is a great army.
