A single tear
Falls from my eyes
I look at this stone
And I want to cry

I hold in my hand
A bright yellow rose
It’s for you Brother
I’ll leave it when I go

It’s your favorite colour
And favorite flower too
I hope that you like it
It’s beautiful like you

Brother I miss you
Why did you go
Brother I need you
But you never came home

I hear our sisters
They’re calling me now
I must go with them
Though I’m not sure how

Your room will be empty
My clothes will be gone
Without you dear brother
Life just feels wrong

I see something flying
It’s a yellow butterfly
I look up at the heavens
And the sun starts to shine

I now understand
Why God took you away
He needed an angel
To brighten up his day
