One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.
On our website we can observe huge selection of electronic books for free. The registration in this electronic library isn’t required. Your e-library is always online with you. Reading ebooks on our website will help to be aware of bestsellers , without even leaving home.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

Book online «For You by Juniper Lee (best novels for beginners .TXT) 📖». Author Juniper Lee

You don't see the blood,
No,
Only the scar,
The one that was left,
When all other evidence was gone.

You can't seem to help,
No,
There's nothing you can do,
You've never been through it,
There's no words you can say.

You want to help her,
Oh,
How badly you want to,
But all you can give is love,
Which is not always the answer.

You need her to live,
Yes,
She's your friend in need,
And she has to go on,
'Cause without her you're lost.

Looking,
Seeking,
Searching,
But finding nothing,
You reach your hand out,
Into the darkness,
To find something,
Something to grab hold of,
Something to keep you steady,
You reach and strain,
And nothing is there,
Desperately you run,
With no path to follow,
And no light to guide you,
You run for what seems to be miles,
And yet you keep going,
You stumble, trip, bleed,
But you persist,
Until finally you see,
A flitting spec of light,
You come near it,
And,
Someone is there to catch and embrace you,
Your search is over.

What is it?
This evil,
That haunts you,
Night and day,
You get no rest,
And no relief,
As it threatens to pull you,
Into an empty oblivion,
A shadow,
Your nightmare,
Never leaves your side,
Always there reminding you,
Swallowing you whole,
Sinking very slowly,
Into the depths of your past,
Everyone around you,
Just waiting for the crash.

Just one more,
Just one more,
A whisper as it leaves your lips,
Not a cry or a plea,
But a bargain,
Each time it takes away the pain,
Only momentarily,
And soon it washes back over you,
Plunging you into darkness,
So it's always just one more,
Just one more.

Just one more hit,
You tell yourself,
You know it's a lie,
But say it anyway,
Your fingers shake,
As you take it,
Using it to fall into fantasy.

Just one more cut,
You think silently,
You betray yourself,
As you plunge the knife deep,
Killing nobody but yourself,
You relish the awakening pain,
As it distracts you from reality.

Just one more,
You wish it was true,
Just one more,
The next could be 'the one',
You convince yourself,
Even after all the betrayal,
Because the kisses, the embraces,
Take away the hurt,
But soon another is added,
To your long list of deception,
Still you wait for the next one.

Something is there,
Pulling you forward,
Always whispering in your ear,
Willing you to do it again,
Because it's just one more,
Just one more.

The words,
Empty,
You,
Devoid of emotion,
The phrase 'I Love You',
A lie,
You,
Still feel nothing,
The warmth of embrace,
Pointless,
You,
Stoic,
The gentle advice of a friend,
Unwelcome,
You,
Drained of vital force,
True love,
A chance at life,
You,
Passing it by,
The despair of loneliness,
Your reality,
You,
Don't even realize.

Your tears,
Like acid,
Burning,
As they roll down,
Taking a piece of you with them,
They fall.
Your pain is too much,
No human shoud have to face it,
Especially someone so young,
Someone who should be innocent and free.
You should feel loved,
But life's not that kind.
Your face,
Full of agony,
As you sit,
In the salty pool you cried,
Just trying to make it all disappear,
Waiting for relief,
That never seems to come.

I watch,
As you slowly sink,
Deeper and deeper,
Into your sadness.
I feel lost.
I want to help you,
To pull you free,
To Save you,
But I don't know what to do.
I try,
And though I fail,
I will always love you.

Open your eyes,
Can't you see,
Or don't you want to realize,
How it tears at my insides?

You've shredded my heart,
With your careless actions,
You're not just hurting yourself,
You know.

I've worked so hard,
Not once did I hold back love,
Still you push me away,
And run back to your old ways.

Open your eyes,
Don't you see?
I can't do this forever,
No matter how much I love you.

You've waited, thought, decided,
And removed me from your life,
So who is left now?
No one loving, I'm sure.

What is left for me to say?
Is this how it ends?
I love you deeply,
But open your eyes,
And see what I see.
