One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

Innocence

Why must it always be the same?
Every day just praying for change.
Yet this internal sickness, this emotional drain
continues to restrain me, keeping me captive within its merciless cage.

Could it really be my fate to live with this,
to never know what it's like to be genuinely happy?
How wondrous I imagine it must be to have even one moment of such carefree bliss.
Back to reality, need to stop living in a world so far away.

My jealousy when I see others laughing together,
myself, I seem to be stuck with this distance.
So blessed are they to have those people here after,
they keep me invisible, always pushing me off-balance.

Why won't they see me?
Am I that meaningless, or are they just blind?
The darkness seems to have become my sanctuary,
trapped here, I must be sure to make no sound.

One noise could atract their pity, their rage,
not one would empathise or show a morsel of patience.
I'm still learning the many things I should probably know by this age,
how pathetic, that I still carry this burden of 'innocence'.

Sane Inside Insanity

Come one, come all, to this new place,
Just plaster a fake smile onto your face.
Look around and don't be a stranger,
Act like your life isn't in danger.
Grab a chair and come listen,
Try not to let people see your tears glisten.
We have these nice padded walls here,
And everyone understands you crystal clear.
Go ahead and walk around,
And if you want, you can fall screaming to the ground.
People will not stop and stare,
Because life here is completely fair.
Your wrists are bleeding? That's too bad.
Your best friend died? That's so sad.
We will listen to you no matter what.
We can open your mind that you have shut.
See that girl? Her heart was filled with a lot of strife,
So then she decided to pick up the knife.
Turned her bathtub into a pool of red,
But it's okay, because we are in her head.
We dug around and pulled out what we could,
Then stood her upright and called it good.
Or see that guy? Standing in the corner?
His tale might not be good if you're a mourner.
He had this feeling that was under his skin,
So he decided to go ahead and commit a huge sin.
Pulled a gun and fired one shot,
Knowing that Hell would be where he rot.
But his plan failed once again,
By the horrid act of his best friend.
Now he's here, trying to hide,
We think he's just here for the ride.
But people like this are completely fine,
And this is where these people tend to shine.
The poeple here are not crazies,
They just talk to themselves and pick daises.
You can hear a scream? Pay it no heed,
Let them let it out, it's what they need.
You heard a weird thump, is that what you said?
Oh, it's okay, that guy is just hitting his head.
And if you get cold we can give you a great jacket,
But if you wear it, try not to make a racket.
Go ahead and hold yourself tight,
Because you will probably stay like that all night.
In this building is where I would want to be,
If you were here then you'd definitely agree.
Nice white jackets and walls soft to the touch,
To get in here, it doesn't take much.
So, you, sitting out there and looking in,
Would you like to give this place a spin?
Or you could just sit there in vanity,
While poeple in here are sane inside insanity.

Symbiotic

Symbiotic are good and evil,
one in the same but not.
Entwined in a lust to prevail
is a goal that each have sought.

Tender is good that can
be seen in a child's eyes.
Unlike the sins of man,
found in his vulgar lies.

Ambiguous implications
cloud the light of truth.
The exposed dissertation
of those with no proof.

Good and evil are akin
to the violence in whole.
As well as good living within
our irreplacable soul.

Am I Beautiful Yet?

I'm hearing these taunts, and finally starting to listen,
I'm letting myself break, now I'm giving in.
Flaunt your hair, and tell me I'm not tough,
well wait until I snap because I've about had enough.
Mirror, mirror, on the wall, is what they say true or is it a lie?
Can I use your broken pieces to finally let myself die?
Let's start wih the razor blades, so I can drag them across my face,
I'm putting a rope around my neck, and tieing it with lace.
Gouging out my insides, as I carve giant smile that's still blood wet,
I'll watch it drip into the sink, am I beautiful yet?
Watch me hollow out my eyes, and nail my casket shut,
and from my elbows to my wrists, I'll make an impressive cut.
My heart is already rotten, how much do you want to bet?
I'll mangle my face to a terrible sight, am I good enough yet?
Because I could slit my throat, and you still wouldn't be satisfied,
but go ahead and keep talking, because my spirit has already died.
Watch me as I claw at my cheeks, this is what you set,
as I look at you with my blood dripping down and ask,
Am I beautiful yet?
