One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.
On our website we can observe huge selection of electronic books for free. The registration in this electronic library isn’t required. Your e-library is always online with you. Reading ebooks on our website will help to be aware of bestsellers , without even leaving home.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

I wanted to publish a book of poetry that not only conveyed feelings of loss, but about life in general. Some of these poems were previously published in my e-book,"Moving On From Mourning"My hope is that people will be comforted after reading this little book.

Why

Empty dark eyes
Staring into space
Feeling devoid of purpose,
Have you embraced the grave?
Are you ready to leave behind ,
All that you love?
To give up your soul
For an unknown place
Without thought of the cost,
To those left behind.
Who will pick up the pieces
Of a shattered life?
Is one fateful moment worth
All the pain?
You have passed on to the living,
On one fateful day.

From Sorrow to Acceptance

-

On sorrows'wings I journeyed to a land where I had never been.

Each loss was undiscovered country, landscapes I had never seen, mountains I had never climbed.

I had taken a journey past familiar landmarks I missed, and memories that were past.

I had buried the familiar stories and neglected the happiness, which lay buried deep beneath the earth, only now and then pushing to the surface.

I drank from bitter springs and sat among the weeds, neglecting to seperate them from the flowers.

Beheld only the sunsetting but forgot the beauty in each new day.

When I had shed enough tears,I remembered the laughter echoing in the valley and heard the birds chirping a new song.

I saw the sun reflecting on the water.
and instead of weeds,I saw flowers. Where there were empty patches of dirt,I saw seedlings and the possibility of new beginnings.

Unseen Presence

When life becomes hurried and choices are unclear,
there is an unseen Presence who will surely get us there.

We may not reach our destiny,at our chosen time
but there is someone wiser whose help we’ll always find.

He’ll give us hope to find our path,a light to guide the way.
His Strength will pull us up the hill and help us see the day.

He knows the road is rough,he’s been there long before.
At Calvary he gave his life and opened up the door.

Too Many Tears

I cried so many times since the day you died.
Scars were slow to heal, they couldn’t be denied.
I thought I knew you brother,
You seemed so full of life.
Your days appeared so busy,
Yet always full of strife.
You left without a word
Not even a goodbye.
You left an empty hole
Gaping deep inside.

Going On

After years of mourning,
I’ve put aside my fears.
A new day is dawning,
I’ve wiped away my tears.

There is no time for sorrow,
For now I’ll find a way.
I look forward to tomorrow,
And each and every day.

With love,I’ll build a life,
Remembering you all the while,
Putting away all strife,
I’ll walk the extra mile.

As years go by,I’ll think of you,
And all the time I’ll smile.
Remembering funny things you’d do,
Laughing all the while.

No More Tears Have Fallen From My Eyes

No more tears have fallen from my eyes
I look to Heaven and The Starry skies
To comfort and guide a spirit broken
Destiny takes charge:God has spoken
Bewildered and blessed, now I am free
Sadness fades as spirit lives in me.
Giving our all,expecting the best
of all lifes pleasures, not excepting less
Trusting life's tides will carry us along
To a better place and uplifting song
Reaping the benefits of a life well done
Enjoying the fruits of victories won.

Hope And Tears

Many a tear has fallen upon my breast
Years gone by,you have gone to your rest

Time has not erased memories of old
Smiles and sadness are one to behold

Longing to share the mysteries of life
Still missing you cuts like a knife

You are not forgotten, never my dear
I'll think of you always, your heart I'll hold near

Drinking up today and tomorrow
Making the most of each and every day

Remembering the love,burying sorrow
With faith as an anchor, finding a way

Though many travails,our memories stay
And lift us through the bitter taste of night

Uplifting us through the day as we pray
Never ending love always within our sight

Memories linger, enough to carry my heart
Through every travail,I will keep myself sane

For your love has carried me from the start
No longer is fear so prevalent in my soul

Your love is eternal, never ceasing to be
Through all the joys and sorrow;now I'am whole

Thirty Winters Ago

It’s been thirty years since we laid you to rest on a winter day
The Ground covered with snow, forming a blanket where you’d lay

Wind rustling through trees, calling out your name as If In prayer
Mother you died so young!,I thought holding back a tear.

We chose a concrete vault to keep you safe from the cold
As we bowed our heads in prayer,It was your story that we told

Someone who suffered since youth, from pain and sorrow
And gave us hope,to face the trials of tomorrow

Two teenage children you left but not without your love
To get us though the years,we sought comfort from above

Moving On From Mourning

Why pine for those who have gone to their rest.
They have put away their mortal toil and fears.
In all things of this world, our God Knows best,
for he will soothe our heart and dry our tears.
On another plane we will find what we’ve lost,
for our mortal life is slipping away.
At times giving little thought to the cost,
for worry and sorrow will waste the day.
But sadness must end,as our days go by,
leaving little time to dwell on the past.
We remove any pain.only after we cry,
as our memories give us hope to last.
After a life well lived, we meet our fate
We meet our loved ones at the pearly gates..

Give Me A Kiss

Surprise me in the morning
With a kiss upon my lips
Gently wisper loves’sweet song
As I embrace your manly hips

With earnest thought,give me time
To show you what you mean to me
In thoughts and dreams,so overcome
With love and lust for all to see

I miss your smile when you’re gone
And the way you look at me
Your funny laugh I can recall
A patient man for all to see

Come lets share our hopes and dreams
And laugh at all lifes mysteries
Life holds little time for schemes
Instead we’ll build our history

Erotic Fantasy On A City Bus

Vacous eyes staring across the way
Becoming lost in my fantasies and lust
Dreaming up scenarios to escape the day
Escaping boredom on this city bus
I focus on him slithering in his chair
Feeling a desire and longing to touch
Avoiding his glance,he is unaware
of how I desire him,so very much
Suddenly, the bus comes to a halt.
Seemingly occupied,I miss my street
I sprint to the exit,It's all my fault.
Glad to be away from all the heat.

Always My Brother

Our childhood was full of pain
We offen bickered through the night
Our moms attention you did gain
And losing often was my plight

An outstanding athlete you once were
Football and running were your strengths
In mothers’eyes you were the sun
While for approval,I traveled lengths

You became a father I admired most
Your children were your night and day
I grew to love you and would boast
How far you’d come in many ways

Through my trials you were there
And often went out of your way
Offering advice that you would share
You helped me see the light of day

You lost a child,I wept with you
I watched you suffer through the years
There wasn’t anything I wouldn’t do
If it helped to wipe away your tears

Though your no longer on this earth
My memories have remained with me
Your life has inspired a new rebirth
Your love you left as your legacy

Almost a Father

-By Frances Ayers

No legal ties to bind us,no shared blood in our veins.
Yet I call you father,in many many ways.

If soothing words can dry a tear, and love can ease the way.
When difficult times assault,I know you’ll always stay.

You’ve helped me travel down a path of unfamiliar roads.
So many lessons I have learned ,by stories you have told.

During fearful times you’ve held my hand and told me I am strong.
You’ve shared my joy,and pain alike and gladly came along.

So richly blessed is how I feel,I’ve had you by my side.
My gratitude is not enough,It’s something I can’t hide.

As time goes on, and life slows down, and one day you are gone.
I’ll think of all the ways you’ve helped me and I’ll carry on.

A Patient Time

A time for waiting,a hibernation
Before we follow through on dreams
Careful planning,with determination
Putting away halfed baked schemes

No day or night is ever wasted
Patience builds slowly day by day
The fruit of forbearance is soon tasted
Sweet as honey where we lay

Suddenly we are engaged in life
Our souls’desire reaches out
And wraps its lasso around the moment
Discarding all our useless doubts

Being Brave

Walking through the rocks
Keeping our balance,feet apart
Dealing with lifes hard knocks

Learning to smile through the pain
Laughing at lifes’little mistakes
Waiting for sunshine through the rain

Going on with our lives and yet
Remembering the past we often hide
Appreciating life and all that we get

Dancing with Life

I dance with life enjoying
The many spins and turns
Along the way
Each step coming before the other
As in lifes different stages
Sometimes I falter,but go on
To the next step
Until I finish the dance

Like Mom

Thank you Mom,you’ve given me
More gifts then most people can see

You gave me your love of books
Which I keep neatly in their nooks

And virtue,simplicity and pride
I keep these always by my side

You taught me how to laugh when down
And lift myself right off the ground

Many lessons I have kept
Through all the tears I have wept

Elegance was on your face
And Kindness was your saving grace

Strength you showed through out your pain
And your courage was what I gained

Through all the years I wondered why
Your life was short, you had to die

Loving The Moment

Finding ourselves at any time
Breathing in the sweet aroma
Of lifes momentary graces
Enjoying little surprises
Of finding familiar faces
Enchanted by natures nuances
And wide open spaces
Such is loving the moment

Peace Abounds

Though life travails assault and leave their mark.
Left not unscathed, with fortitude for the day
All of the minutae and trials provide the spark
As we clothe ourselves with peace along the way

Love and friendship, armour we put on
Protecting us along lifes many roads
With newfound strength we are soon gone
To meet new challenges and carry heavy loads

Snow Adventure

As The snow and ice cover the ground
And the wind grows fierce and swift
The cars keep circling round and round
Avoiding
