One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

The Old Me

THE BREAKS IN HER SMILE

Feelings never thought of,
Words empty of love,
Compliments fill and heal,
The breaks in her smile seal,
Even with knowledge of their desires,
Cheeks hot like fires,
She hides her sadness in their attention,
Easy 'cus her feelings, they never mention,
Told she was never loved, she now feels cared for,
Even though they call her a whore,
The whispers and looks always get to her,
Tears make her eyes and thoughts blur,
She just goes back to the fake feelings and touches,
But even with that, to her smile she hopelessly clutches.

REGRET

I never meant for my feelings to tear you apart,
I could feel my words cut through your heart,
I left you standing there on valentines day,
All alone, standing there, and there you stayed,
The pain of that memory is burned into my heart,
I never thought my words would tear ME apart,
I never knew what regret was all about,
But now I know the feeling without a doubt,
I shouldnt have done what I did,
But back then I was just a kid.

GOTTA SURVIVE

Tears roll out of my blue eyes, down my red cheeks, and finally stop at my aching heart,
I've known you for years but never once caught a glimpse of what was in YOUR heart,
Now that i know, I fear it is too late,
For you are laying down beside me in an unconsious state,
How could I have not known who you were looking at with those eyes,
When the girl you longed for was behind my disguise,
I had been distracted by the jerk who stomped on my heart,
You tried to warn me, not listening wasn't smart,
I've never cared but now I do,
Now that I've actually seen what good comes from you,
I am forever sorry for what I have done,
I've bruised, kicked, and burned your heart to the point of where you almost dont have one,
Forgiveness is something to which I strive,
But all I need is love to survive,
I need you to wake up and say your alright,
I need you to wake up and dont give up this fight.

FIGHT

I started the fight,
But she died that night.
Now she see's the light,
And I feel Hell's might.

GOODBYE

Look down into the coffin, in which I lie,
Look down upon my face and say goodbye.
