I Love You at Christmas Time
I love you at Christmas time. When everything is going fine. The average season is wintertime. People dress warmly and are polite and kind.
I love you when winter falls. It gives us reason to hug and give each other calls. I’ll bake cookies for you and all. And you’ll tell me stories and sing, “Deck the Halls.”
I love you when there are snowflakes. When the relationship is not just give and take. When feelings are real instead of fake. It’s the time of year when my heart doesn’t ache.
I love you at Christmas holiday. It gives us reason to laugh and play. There’s no pain when you say you’ll stay. ‘Cause I can’t make it without you anyway.
The Best
If milk were the number one drink, you would be chocolate.
If Mars were the number one vacation spot, you would be a rocket.
If Tylenol were the number one aspirin, you would be a capsule.
If ballet were the number one style, you would be a dancer.
If love could someday be explained, you would be the answer.
The Meaning of Life
Playing peek-a-boo with a gentle stranger. Falling with the leaves without imposing danger.
Taking pictures in the snow, all dressed in white. Running to our destinations, for all is well this special night.
Shaking hands to say hello, as rain greets flowers bloom. Both of us hiding beneath the stars, as we make faces to the moon.
Jumping in lakes as we take a trip, wondering where the journey will lead. Our bodies glow with solar light, making it hard for us to breathe.
Familiar grounds, familiar trees, familiar leaves in the wind. Excited that the leaves are the same, for we shall begin again.

Down the Road
I just wanted to take a moment to say why I consider you a dear friend. You are a person who is trustworthy, and on whom I can depend.
No matter how many arguments, no matter how many fights. No matter how many days, no matter how many nights.
We still manage to let the little things go. We finally realized what matters the most.
True friends like you are worth more than gold. True friends like you will be there down the road.
In So Many Words
Not everyday we talk, not everyday we agree. Not everyday we see each other, nor do a good deed.
Not everyday we take time, not everyday we feel fine. Not everyday we are willing to say, what is on our mind.
Not everyday we chill, not everyday we will. Not everyday we show each other what is for real.
Not everyday we heard, not everyday we preferred. Not everyday we say I love you, but I do in so many words.
Ink Pen
I have been places near and far, never to stop and rest.
You are my guardian angel.
With you I always pass the test.
I don’t want to find out if I can make it on my own. You make me perform at my best.
Life without you is like an ink pen without ink.
I would be useless.
I Can
I can see it in your eyes and in your smile when we depart. You try to be brave, but I know your heart.
You once found a love that you cared for very much. Now that she is gone, you believe you’re out of luck.
But every once and a while, you long for the chance, to feel love again, wishing to enhance.
I can see your pause. I can see your tears. But I can feel your desire, to release your fears.
To touch you gently, to reach inside, to discover your soul, to secure your mind,
I can ease your pain. I can protect your heart. I can hold you close in my arms, helping you discover the warmest spot. I too, can love you.
I Think I’m In Love
No, it isn’t the climate that’s got me panting like this. It couldn’t be that my watch is too tight; the reason I am grabbing my wrist.
I am biting my lower lip without a just cause, and my heart is beating profusely; without a break or pause.
It cannot be the summer time beaming on my head; nor is it the wintertime sending chills from my spine to my legs.
Quick, I need a drink of water, I need to lie down and sleep. To figure this thing out would surely put my mind at ease.
Doesn’t seem to be an illness, this is no common cold or flu. In fact, this only happens, whenever I am near you.
My palms are sweaty. My body is trembling. I am holding myself. My stomach is rumbling.
All things considered, it’s not any of the above. The only logical conclusion; I think I’m in love.
Love Me Secretly
Kept in a small, secluded box, cornered in the back of my mind. Buried in the very depths of my heart with a hazy discrete feeling of sublime. Doomed by the very sparkle of our eyes launching signals invisible to the sky. Destiny seems only a minute scream in a world of undo shame. Hollow entries of void love sing a sorrowful tune. While the cynic melodies of forbidden nature gently whisper I’ll see you soon. Innocent sighs of tenderness caressing the inner parts of my soul. While bodily outlets stand at attention careful not to be disclosed (let the secret unfold). Meeting in the secret of secrets, our passion reaches capacity. Treasuring each bittersweet moment while you love me secretly.
First Comes Love
We’d walk around the edge of a pond on a warm summer’s night. We’d lie on the hood of an old automobile, and watch the stars wave with light.
We would fight the crowded hallway, as we steady watch the clock; and without fail, we’d meet each other at our favorite spot.
We’d show up at the games together both holding hands. We’d even sit together or cheer in the stands.
We were invited to each other’s house on weekends and holidays. The more you started coming over, the longer you would stay.
We would have our first kiss together, feeling nervous and shy. We’d experience all of these tingly feelings, and did not know exactly why.
We would grow into adults both wanting to be committed. Then we’d become bold enough to finally admit it.
We would get married, and a happy ending it was. But before forever can begin, first comes love.
When the Sun Refuses to Shine
When the sun refuses to shine, it can be confusing to the mind. It can be frustrating on the heart, and cold on the behind.
When the sun refuses to shine, it can be hard to see your way. Even though you need to be alone, you begging for them to stay.
When the sun refuses to shine, it can be difficult to feel sometimes. Your body is sensitive to touch, but you applaud the crime.
When the sun refuses to shine, it can make you to cry in the dark. It will play with your emotions; make you afraid to trust your heart.
When the sun refuses to shine, it won’t allow you to scream, but if you shut your eyes real tight, you can see sunshine in your dreams.
Paper Cutt
Love is like a paper cutt. It’s a little thing that hurts so much. Sitting there composing a letter. Trying to explain to your love how things could be better. Tell him about the time he forgot to open your door and of promises made not to lie anymore. Oh, and why he did recognize that he was late, and he didn’t apologize to his date. And what was the deal with the chic on his side? She could have called a cab if she needed a ride. Then you give an ultimatum, your boyz or me, and declare that it’s not your jealousy. After you mention all of the above, you end the letter with a salutation of love. And as you seal it, you get a feeling in your gut, as you look down you wonder, how you got a paper cutt.
Mama Strong
Mama Strong, Mama Strong,
Wear big shoes, all the daylong.
Put on big pants, that’s too long.
But that’s Mama Strong.
Mama Strong, Mama Strong,
Catches us a meal, don’t make it wrong.
Puts us to bed, while she sang us a song.
That’s Mama Strong.
Mama Strong, Mama Strong,
Tell Daddy he right, when she knows he’s wrong. Make us go to church, begging daddy to come along.
That’s Mama Strong.
Mama Strong, Mama Strong,
Tired of fighting, when daddy comes in at dawn. Can’t give up, ‘cause that’s where she belongs.
But, that’s Mama Strong.
Mama Strong, Mama Strong,
Is your happily ever after, forever gone? What if your name wasn’t Mama Strong? What if Mama wasn’t Strong?
Wonder if your family would last long?
Accept Me Anyway
I may not be as soft as the white cotton ball, but I am strong.
I may not give in like Snow White waiting for her Prince, because I am determined.
I may not qualify for Miss America, but I have beauty.
I may not be on the cover of a magazine, because I believe in being covered.
I may not be the chosen color of a wedding dress, but I believe in its purity.
I may not be as fit as the model secretary, because I am smart.
I may not be as soft hearted as the actress, but I have a heart.
I may not feel as tender as the tempest, but I have feelings.
I may not need for you as much as she, but I don’t pretend.
I may not have long curly hair, but my hair never gets in the way.
I may not have a lot of things like eyes blue, green, or gray.
But, one thing I do have is love for you always; say you love me, and accept me anyway.
Drowning
One day I watched people falling in love,
Hoping that I too would someday get my turn.
People fell in love without any problem at all; some stayed
