Das letzte Jahr,
das so verheissungsvoll begann.
Der letzte Tag,
wer konnte es ahnen.
Die letzte Stunde,
da war kein Warnen.
Ein hoffnungsvolles Leben,
das der elende Tod bezwang..

Und endlose Trauer,
die reisst dir im Herz
ein Schmerz der nicht endet.
Den Glauben verloren
und Flüche gesendet.
Doch nichts kann man ändern
am Laufe der Dinge.
Geschehen ist geschehen
und ein Herz vereist.

Warum...Warum... schreit es ,
auch nach Jahren immer noch in dir.
Die Sehnsucht nach seiner Nähe
frisst dich auf.
Und deine Seele weint
unsagbare Tränen,
bis du endlich weißt:

Solang du seine Gegenwart spürst,
solang du nicht sein Bild in dir verlierst,
solange du Seiner gedenkst,
ist der Tod nur eine Farce.
Denn es ist nur ein Steg
über ein tiefes Wasser,
den auch du einmal wirst gehen.
Am anderen Ende,
wird er dich freudig erwarten
und dich in die Arme nehmen.

The last year
so promising began.
The last day,
Who could guess.
The last hour,
there was no warning.
A hopeful
young life,
the miserable death defeated ..

And infinite sorrow,
the tears in your heart
a pain of non-finishes.
The faith is lost
and curses sent.
But nothing can change
on the course of things.
Done is done
and an icy heart.

Why ... Why ... it screams,
even after years still in you.
The longing for its proximity
eats you up.
And your soul cries
unspeakably tears
until you finally know:

As long as you feel his presence,
as long as you're not in his image, you lose
as long as you have his memory,
death is only a farce.
Because there is only one bridge
on a deep water,
also once you'll go.
At the other end,
He will expect you joyfully
and you take in the arms.
