One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.
On our website we can observe huge selection of electronic books for free. The registration in this electronic library isn’t required. Your e-library is always online with you. Reading ebooks on our website will help to be aware of bestsellers , without even leaving home.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

Garden Spoils

Looking through these lush green doors,
My eyes are seized
By the planters erupting and exploding
With variegated color.

Your ardor flows through me,
Down to the tips of my fingers,
Oozing liquid love into my garden.
These crimson roses drenched
In naked romance, climbing
with velvety breadth,
Extend their branches to the heavens,
While petals fall to frame
my green footsteps
Delivering earth’s perfume.

Oh, winged creature of living light,
Glitter with starry threads.
Work your magic!
Create with infinite eyes a vision, a gift.
Use your emerald knife.
Carve rose and winding green vines,
And fashion shoes to slip on my chilled feet.

This is my enchanted garden’s
Gift to me.

Your Gift

When I awoke this morning,
a note lay next to my pillow.
It read:
“There is a little something on the table,
all wrapped and tied—
(I knew it was useless to hide).”

I bolted from my bed,
Crammed my feet into my slippers.
Opened my doors, perused the room,
And there in the morning’s soft light—
A package wrapped with gossamer threads
Of lavender and green.
Almost too gorgeous to open,
I hesitated for only a moment’s time.
Tugging and pulling the ribbons of color
That floated in the air
Till the box gave up its first treasure
Of sparkling sheaves of paper.

I ripped the coverings aside,
And there…
A most luscious chartreuse dress
With a small note attached

You said:

“Crimson slippers for the woman of my dreams,
Satin feet to lay inside them.
Skin of ivory and snow,
Uncovered in this day’s light.
For you, then, a gown of chartreuse leaves
and golden flowers,
Spun by your garden faeries to clothe you.”

The Same Moon

Let me say adieu to this dim stage
And release the velvet curtain of the night.

I linger at the windowsill,
In new gown and shoes,
Waiting for the first star to appear,
And so, like a child, to make a wish.

The ocean’s perfumed air reminds me
Why I love this hamlet,
This dwelling in the midst of this paradise.
Our cottage emits our resurrected love
For one another, and it spills at my touch
Out through the windows and the doors,
Nourishing all that grows
in my enchanted garden.

Unwillingly I close the door
And glide across the amber-polished floor
To the candles of illumination and romance,
Waiting to be lit.
My heart skips a beat, just to know
That we are both gazing
At the same glowing moon
splayed before us,
I in the room—you on
the road back to my arms.
