One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.
On our website we can observe huge selection of electronic books for free. The registration in this electronic library isn’t required. Your e-library is always online with you. Reading ebooks on our website will help to be aware of bestsellers , without even leaving home.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

Oh, Daddy

When you left I didn’t know you were gone.
When I saw you again you were with another.
She wasn’t anyone I knew.
But I asked mommy if she was my new mother.

Mommy lost her mind then.
She cried and drank herself away.
No matter how hard I tried for Mommy,
I couldn’t get you to stay.

I didn’t think much of your new brood.
She looked too old to be with you.
So I went along with the charade
Because I thought she’d be gone in a year or two.

But six years later you got married,
And didn’t say a word.
I figured out on Christmas,
A day that was supposed to be good.

I wept like mommy in my room,
Feeling so down,
And since then my face,
Has mostly held a frown.

To this day I still don’t why,
You did what you did,
But, you messed with my life,
Starting when I was a kid.

My treasures

Wind’s my element,
Fire is succulent,
Water makes the ocean worthwhile,
Earth always makes me smile.

I stand outside in fifty-mile winds,
The gusts comb through my hair,
I’m energized when I feel a storm coming,
I throw my arms up without any care.

I light candles with the orange flame,
The blaze warms you from winds blasts,
I love the fire’s heat, though,
I am terrified of a funeral pyre.

I swim in the cool water,
The liquid calms fires fury,
I relax from the waves motion,
Under me guppies scurry.

I touch the green leaves on a tree,
The flowers smells are so pleasant,
Even when the ground looks dead,
Earth isn’t something I can resent.

The earth holds water,
The water calms fire,
The fire warms the wind,
The wind is mine.

I love you

Mom I know you try,
To make my life all you want it to be,
You did a great job,
But there are things that need done by just me.

You made a great home,
Even though we had our bad times,
The best of times were amazing,
You always helped when I got stuck on rhymes.

You pushed me forward,
When I needed a shove,
And you always gave me,
Unconditional love.

I thank you,
For all the good in my life,
I forgive you,
For every time we had a strife.

I love you so much,
I just wanted you to know,
And I hope you say to that,
Ditto.
