Golden Gate Bridge

Golden, it doesn’t look gold but it is.

The Golden Gate Bridge.

Standing at 746 ft tall.

Its beauty is beyond any bridge I see.

It’s history, lovely.

Living in San Francisco it stays there.

But even as beautiful it is.

It also contains a terrifying past.

As cold as the water is they didn’t care.

How high the bridge was they weren’t scared.

Foggy or clear, they climb over.

Waiting, we try to talk out of them.

Some come back but to others,

They don’t listen.

Breathing their last.

They take a step and jump.

As beautiful the gate is,

These jumpers jump to their deaths.

The Golden Gate Bridge,

Is the one where many lose their lives.

Very few survive.

Even though people and cars around drive or walk by,

They don’t notice the people who are about to jump.

When they do, it’s too late.

May God give them a safe place.

May their family and friends pray for them.
