I heard it said by many a friend, “be careful what you wish for you may get it in the end.”
So it's easy to believe that my current condition has been brought about by my own fruition.
That somewhere in my past I desired for myself to be brushed aside and left on the shelf.
If this is the case can it be undone or is it too late to change that, which upon me has come?

Am I able to connect to my past and find out just where and when this fateful wish was cast?
For if I cannot then I am destined to become the most miserable of men under God's sun.
The life that I've lived has left me lonesome and sad. The abyss is dark, the silence is bad.
Please help me my friend, come and shed some light so I won't lay down and give up the fight.

My current existence is filled with contradiction sometimes real and at other times fiction.
I have lost track of what seems true for everything felt just right when I was with you.

If I wished any different for myself in days gone by then I curse existence until the day I die.
