Life's a book,

This part of the story is over for us,

Hopefully in some far off chapter we'll find each other again,

But who knows what tomorrow will bring?


Just when things started to look up,

Something happens to disrupt our moment of peace,


Here we go again,

Ups and downs and all arounds,

I guess that's just the way life is,


Sometimes you'll wish you could set it down for just a few minutes,

You can try to drown yourself in something else but you'll always float back up,

You can try to lock it up but the lock never leaves the key,

Life's never going to be easy,


Sometimes you'll want to close the book that you're reading and make a new start,

So that you can fix things that you didn't see fit to share,

So you can tell that special person that you love them,

So you can react differently when they don't care,

But you'll never be able to,

That's not how things work,


If you try to hide it you'll still know where it is,

If you try to throw it away you won't be able to let it go,

If you try to shred it it'll be to big to go through,

You can try to glue it shut but you won't be able to find the glue,

There's a warning on the first page but you read anyway,

But once you start you can't stop reading you'll discover one day,

Yet when it's over you'll still want to stay,


Now it's time to turn the page and start a new adventure.
