FRIEND
Dear friend can I put my trust on thee
As a companion and a guide to be
To make me laugh when I am in tears
To comfort me in my fears
To correct me when I go wrong
To travel with me – in my journey along
To know my feelings- when I am quiet
Always help me to choose the right
Giving me a chance to know your heart
And always be with you in your every thought
Hold my hands and walk with me
When I am lonely and none I see
Be mine as I ask you again
Will you be my friend – even in loss or gain?
I KNOW WHO I AM
Often when I am alone
Or in the crowd when I am gone
I ask myself who am I
There are very few people
Who claim to love me
And still I ask myself who am I?
In the crowd I meet my foe
With no reason we had a row
Then I asked myself who am I
Love – This is often rare
And invisible… once came searching for me
Yet I ask who am I?
I searched for the answer everywhere
Stood in front of the mirror
And knew who I am…
LOVE LOST FOR GOOD
I am not good
But don’t know how to be bad
Everywhere I went
Loneliness is all I had
As the shimmering light
Your smile came to greet
You walked with me for a while
Then left me alone to retreat
I gathered all my memories
And treasured them forever
I remembered every story
You told, oh you were so clever
I took my journey to the other side
The road no one has even taken
I don’t want to see you again
In case my heart
Searches for you again
SMILE
As I was walking along the street one day
Sunshine came to greet me on my way
Asking me how do you do?
And said, “Something is missing in you.”
Not caring I started to walk
A gentle wind started to talk
“don’t know how far you have been…
But you have forgot something and haven’t seen”
Yet another, I thought and sighed
As I thought I had everything and nothing was to hide
As my steps moved ahead
I saw a beautiful flower’s bed
Spreading fragrance…so sweet to smell
And far across I heard the temple bell
Every one seem to ask me the same question or remind
“Have you checked, if you left something behind?”
Then I saw a new born child
Was so tender and mild
Nothing was there with that little infant
Yet he had a smile… so radiant
For all the questions I know was only one reply
I left my smile behind and forgot to apply
I knew life has many beautiful things to give
When cherished, then we truly live
The one thing to remember is our dress is always incomplete
If we don’t wear a smile and sorrows we defeat.
I WISH I COULD FALL IN LOVE
I wish I could fall in love
To spend my life in gratitude and pride
Standing in an open place and soak in the rain
Holding each other, we walk side by side
I wish I could fall in love
With the one who’d be my world and universe
Lost in his thoughts and yet know my destination
I walk into his arm with no remorse
I wish I could fall in love
With the one who dances on a melody
May be the king and queen’s Waltz
Make me his prisoner for life and keep me in his custody
I wish I could fall in love
With the one who would hear me when I am silent
Sing with me every tune of love
While I cherish and save every precious moment
I wish I could fall in love
With the one every day as it’s just a start
While we walk together towards the aisle
And say ‘Till death do us apart”

To the ONE who is big enough to rule the universe and small enough to live in my heart
The unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
