One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.
On our website we can observe huge selection of electronic books for free. The registration in this electronic library isn’t required. Your e-library is always online with you. Reading ebooks on our website will help to be aware of bestsellers , without even leaving home.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

"Opinionated Season"
With brittle bones and trembling lips come distaste and envy of elder months;

With ice cold rains and frosted window panes the seekers of suns ray become reminiscent of their summer flaunts.

Winds whistle and blow as Octobers become Novembers, and winters days make last summer even harder to remember…

And flurries sprinkle the noses of the scrooges. The joyous children become more tactful and ever more limber.

They have no envy. They exhibit no disdain. They create their snowmen and snowangels without fail;

Thus those that were grim and so en-scrooged, fill their nostrils with Christmas air. New attitude. And a new winters tale.

"Finally Here"
Oh boy! Oh what joy! My favored time of year is here.
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! So much joy in my heart and such a smile upon my face: Its here, its here! I loudly cheer.
The masks of all Hollows Eve, the candy and the oh so fatfully thankful turkey.
The icy blades of grass, the beautiful fall of snow and giant cups of my favorite root beer.
Oh boy, oh boy! Its finally here! My most favorite time of year.
The presence of the Lord, and the presents under an ornamented tree.
Smiles and glee and gathering families…
fat men in red suits with tons of gifts and flying reindeer,
oh boy! Oh boy! Oh what joy! My favorite time of year is here.
A new year comes but the winter won’t go. Oh no, no,no! Janurary just may be the month of the biggest snow.
With mittens and gloves and toboggan for gear, I dash out to see what makes me cheer Oh boy, oh boy! Its finally here! My most favorite time of year.

"A Glimpse of Peace"
I become enraptured in the view from my window. I gaze at the fall of snowflakes, as they toss about in soft winds of solace.
The trees, some bare of leaves, seem to reach into the heavens. With frosty branches for arms, they reach into the chilled air…gathering new strength, I suppose.
The mountains are fully capped with their famous covers of bright white snow. Those are the blankets they seem to prefer most; a most humble choice for beings of such mass and power.
From my window I see tranquility; a feat not often accomplished in the bustling springtime, and seducing summer. The deer and bear find not one misunderstanding man- gun in his hand.
There is joy to have, and fresh air that seems new. Smiles escape the unfortunate and ,previously, unhappy souls on earth.
Because peace is just beyond the boundaries of their window.

"Winters Generosity"
We had no money during the spring, to celebrate our engagement. Nor did we earn enough in summer to magnify our wedding;

In the fall we were saddened that our honeymoon would have to be put off once again: love becomes regretting.

But in the winter, when matrimony seems to bloom, we forgot our woes and counted our blessings;

The whiteness of snows became brighter than our gloom. Ice skating, tree trimming, and competitions of turkey dressing…

even snowball fights were parts in her and her girlfriends tales- so gossipy.

I loved the times and wouldn’t change a thing, of when winter showed its generosity.

"Angels Prayer"
Beauty and awesome landscapes reside where I am. Any and every man wants to stand where I stand.
But would it be pure ignorance if I wish to stand where he now is? It is said that ignorance is bliss, but I would have this.
A place known on earth as Heaven, stands in my way. A place that all want to visit and most would plan to stay.
My eyes have roamed and my eyes have found… another heaven, that is right down on earth; earthbound.
Where it has cold of winter and often snows. Burning fireplaces that warm the hearts of entire families, with ice cold toes.
Yes my lord, it is here I want to dwell. A few days maybe? A few hours? Oh foo! A few minutes would be well.
A time for hot soups and cooled custard pies; oh how I would love to sing the merry carols, for your names sake, under winters stormy sky.
Boys and girls seem full of goodness, men and women seem at peace too; the potters creation seems more masterful- solid and stable in that frosty brew.
Hear my words, oh master of the elements: Never would I imagine that season of bright faces and faithful wish. Why wasn’t I informed of such simplicities: frozen mysteries and frosty mist.
Do you hear my plea, Father? Are my words like vain? Coming from my mouth only to fall in shame?...

"Arctic Exhalation"

Winter winds whistle and the ski slopes are open for adventurers from all around. The snowboarders are thrilled and the canyons are sound.
No threat of avalanche nor other disaster, no envious weather systems spoiling grand vacations…
Just pure winter fun and arctic exhalation.
The mountains bellow and chuckle from the tickle of snowshoers walking. A future gold medalists makes an eight foot aerial and winter game lovers increase their talkings.
No place for the miserable, not grounds for those with summertime fixations…
Just pure winter fun and arctic exhalation.
Log cabin restaurants serve perfectly round pancakes with maple syrup and strong hot coffee. The ski lifts give the feeling of being on top of the world; flurries landing softly.
No worries of overspending, nor news of recessions and economic inflation…
Just some pure winter fun, and arctic exhalation.

"Icicles along the Roof"

All winters are cold. But this one was the coldest winter ever. All people shiver from the chill. But this was the chilliest kind of weather.
The wind howled and the tree branches hung limply, with so much snow. My grandmother, in her old rocking chair, said “child its ten below!”
We watched through the window, mostly (having soup and hot cocoa). But, we went out at times; only twenty minutes or so.
Old Jack Frost rarely told lies, and this time was the truth; the fiddler wouldn’t play b’cause of icicles on the roof.
Yes there were common colds, and common flu viruses too. Children bright and gay one day, and the next stuffy and blue.
In the south you just don’t see such a cold as this day was. You think of heat, humidity, alligators and bugs.
But, that winter made you think differently. You didn’t remember the past summer. But you sure did want it to come back. Cause winter was a bummer.
Old Jack Frost rarely told lies, and this time was the truth; the fiddler wouldn’t play b’cause of icicles on the roof.
My heavy coat and brogan boots were insulated. But that insulation wasn’t workin’. My tongue had almost frozen-stuck to the roof of my mouth; toes and fingers were hurtin’.
Granny had a flask, that she had said held coffee. I supposed it was to keep her alert, but for reasons unknown, that coffee made her groggy.
We had to stay warm: sweaters, thermals, blankets and quilts. Some houses, I knew, stayed warm. But I just don’t think that’s how ours was built.
Old Jack Frost rarely told lies, and this time was the truth; the fiddler wouldn’t play b’cause of icicles on the roof.

"Julie Z."
Silly me, silly me. I feel imprisoned by Julie Z.
What happened to the guy that was me? I think that I left him going from point A to point B.
Since I turned my attention to this enchanting ecstasy, I lost my focus and function ineffectively.
I eat, think, and desire what she would have of
me.
