Walking down the isle
Wearing black
Their faces covered
In the undesired tears
Pooring down as hard as rain
He sits in front
The first seat, then the family
The preacher talks
They cry harder
His eyes swell with tears
Just the night before
A fight
She left in tears
He felt God was punishing him
A wrecked car
She lost control
“I hate you”
Words of anger
“I still love you”
She knew….
But today, no goodbyes, no I love you
Today…
She is gone.
Today…
I still loved her

I stare into the skies
Wishing I could see you once again
Wish I could see those condescending eyes

I scream for you
Calling by name for you
Wishing you would come back to me

The stars carry you
To the worlds outside of ours
Only for me to meet up with you again soon

Peacefully, undisturbed

Your eyes pierce my soul
They scream my name
Calling me to come closer
To give myself to you
To be yours
My body screams
I’m waiting
Wanting
Pleading
You voice intertwines my veins
My pulse rises
As you touch my skin
Cold chills climb my spine
“I love you”
Words I’d never heard
You look at me
“I love you too”
Feels right
Feels perfect
Feels like a dream
Perfect
