Rise of the Phoenix

From the fire of its own making,
This legend meets its demise
Only to be reborn anew
Out of its own ashes it does arise.
It spreads wide its majestic wings and flies,
High up into the eternal sky
Of a vibrant sunrise.
And then, soaring through ethereal nights
Of enchanted starry bliss
The moon shining brilliantly,
Only to settle back down, into a slumber it goes deep.
An internal fire claims and destroys
Ashes reform into a new reincarnation
Thus the Phoenix emerges once more anew,
And soars through misty skies
To continue its cycle of perpetual transformation
That lasts throughout the eons
Annihilation to regeneration,
Reincarnation of transformation
The Legend of the Phoenix,
Bird of immortality
Rises yet again.
