One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

Come Into My Garden

"She Feels Invisible"

Cara doesn't keep up with the latest fashions
but that doesn't mean she's without passion
She might not be pretty enough to turn heads
yet she is witty, thoughtful, and very well-read

This woman has dreams and she longs to be free
from the constraints and expectations of society
You'd never notice her or give her a second glance
still she's humbly praying she'll have her chance

Cara feels invisible in this great, big wide world
for her, cameras and red carpet are not unfurled
She plays every role and breaks out of the mold
yearning for the day when she'll learn to be bold

Meek and mild, whenever other people are near
but after they are gone, all of her fears disappear
Then when alone, she will dance and she will sing
suddenly, she's brave enough to achieve anything

Cara twirls about upon her imaginary, little stage
her head full of visions and the wisdom of a sage
One day, she'll sail through the sky, finally a star
her lifelong ambitions will whisk her away so far

"Come Into My Garden"

Come into my garden, let's enjoy its delights
I promise, you'll spend your days and nights
Enter a paradise of harmonious contentment
here, we'll bask in sweet love and merriment

A river flows through, sparkling crystal clear
a kaleidoscope of colors are blooming here
Blue, red, purple ribbons and so much more
veins of silver with gold decorate every shore

Rich, vivid hues intermingle with dazzling gems
fragrant flowers intoxicate us from green stems
A palette of leaves shall become our lovely bed
with a blanket of stars comforting us overhead

In this garden for two, we shall dance and sing
the beating of our hearts, with happiness ring
Let your imagination run wild and let's be free
in a created world, meant for only you and me

With the stroke of a paintbrush, we will release
a magical haven where we can find some peace
From the fast, hectic pace called modern society
we'll escape to a tropical island, for all eternity

"The Person I Wanted To Be"

Life is one big question mark
within my mind exists a spark
of imagination and wonderment
I ponder where all the years went
no more letting opportunity pass by
I'll never know if I'm afraid to try

As I ask the questions, I look inside
to all the dreams I thought had died
I feel the flames fanning back to life
here amidst my struggles and strife
Jigsaw puzzle pieces fall into place
filling up my hollow, empty space

I won't give up and I won't give in
my dreams are near, I reach within
Buried underneath crumpled rubble
hope springs from its confining bubble
rising to the surface is a brand new me
I'm becoming the person I wanted to be

"Healthy And Wholesome"

Enemy of humans if carelessly consumed
Food offers variety in different flavors
Girth it adds to the midsection and hips
Healthy and wholesome, in nutrients rich
Boosts energy and enhances life's beauty

"Reborn"

Sheltered under snow
tiny buds struggle to thrive
reborn in the spring

"What The Years Can Do"

A slowness of steps
creases appearing in skin
what the years can do

"The Master's Hand"

Like a pebble on the beach
like a tiny grain of sand
weary soul within His reach
touched by the Master's hand

Like a falcon in mid-flight
like a child learning to stand
fearful soul on darkest night
touched by the Master's hand

With the strength of solid rock
with the mountain view so grand
aging soul watching the clock
touched by the Master's hand

With the steadfastness of steel
with the vastness of the land
loving soul whose heart will heal
touched by the Master's hand

"Another Christmas Without You"

The Christmas season is finally here
but my darling, you're nowhere near
My holiday's become a familiar scene
you're missing, what does this mean?

It's just another Christmas without you
looks like this year brings nothing new
I have searched my heart, only to find
you are still the one who's on my mind

The leaves they drift about in the wind
watching them, I wonder how I'll mend
My world seems empty on a special day
if only you'd come back home and stay

Can't stand another Christmas without you
you are the other half that makes us two
I have tried hard to forget the way I feel
but every December 25th makes it so real

What was that I thought I heard just then
slamming door and footsteps in the den?
My dear, you have returned to me at last
let's clean the slate and let go of the past

Won't be another Christmas without you
my world is happy, goodbye to being blue
All I've ever wanted is you, here and now
to give you my love forever, I make a vow

"Confusion"

If I ever sought
to understand the
things one cannot comprehend
there would only be confusion
