Unnatural Fear

car horns honking,
streetlights flashing,
people shouting,
colors swirling,
this is unnatural,
and loud,
and fear,
blackouts,
robbers escaping,
murders going free,
people screaming,
this is unnatural,
and loud,

sirens wailing,
children crying,
guns firing,
silence ending,
this is unnatural,
and loud,
and fear.


Hand in Hand

love and hate,
go hand in hand,
life and death,
go hand in hand,
light and dark,
go hand in hand,
love begins,
hate ends,

light brightens,
dark dims,
so why fight it?
To turn on a light,

in stories whispered,
in stories hid.
