As I lay you down

day's end...

As they ascend the ladder
to the clouds reaching

I summon angels to draw near.
Ask them to watch over and protect
these innocent ones.

Guard my children oh so tenderly
with your wings of protection,

outstretched, shielding
against the evil of this world.

Bombarding Heaven
With a steady stream of prayers;
assailing heaven, demanding an
audience night and day-- words
projected to Gods ear.

They might be dressed in flowery verse

with gratitude, thanking for a life saved.
Soft voices, the sounds of harps
thanking the Lord for grace and
mercy.
We approach heavy laden, blaming, and
accusing expressions with trumpets
blaring in fiery stanza.

With clenched hands raised and
questioning why?
The Almighty knows every tear
shed in pain and anger, and
waits for the day when we are
welcomed home.
