One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

My Mother!

Enlightened days show ahead

How my mother trained me to be!

Enriched days with skills at all levels

I adore the way she taught!

When days of struggle took our toll

She never complained for things to be;

Tackling challenges that came our way

She led us to the path of  success.

Let alone a night full of scary thoughts

She gave me the strength to face life.

Every second I breathe,

I dedicate to her - only love.

For ever she missed her mother's love,

but never failed to show motherly love.

If I happen to born again,

I wish to be a mother to my mother

And shower her with the mother's love

that she missed and misses all her life.

Review 1

Hello Kalai Your poem on the graces of your mother is heart warming.

It is a great tribute to not only to your mom, but to mothers everywhere. The image and truth behind role of a mother is the same all over the world. She is a symbol of sacrifice love and patience. Few understand this significance and fewer return it at least in feeling and thought. While talking about your mother you said among other things, she misses her own mother. This only multiplies her concern and sense of duty to her children as I can visualize.

Your lines tell me the way she nurtured you with courage and perseverance. A mother's role is of limitless importance for a child at all ages of her/his life.

"When days of struggle took our toll She never complained for things to be;"

I can see that she prepared you to face the challenges of life and weather all climates. Imagery and descriptive quality of the poem appeal to my mind.

It flows well.

"If I happen to born again" (If I happen to be born again)

Write on! Jaya

Review 2

I enjoyed this poem which is a tribute to your mother.

These are my favorite lines:

'If I happen to born again,

I wish to be a mother to my mother

And shower her with the mother's love

that she missed and misses all her life.'

The poem is well written relating to grammar and punctuation. The rhythm is uneven but I didn't have much difficulty reading it aloud. There is some imagery and I feel your love for your mother completely. This is an incomplete sentence: ' Let alone a night full of scary thoughts' and I don't see where it fits here. Thank you for sharing your work with us. John

Personal Impression

Your poem was loving, emotional and very original! You truly show the love you had for your mother and would return it if you could in another life.

Tone and Mood:

Your tone was loving throughout and clear. Rhyme, Form and Flow: The little that I know of writing a poem, your words were simply written and to the point. Your flow was smooth. You chose your words wisely and I feel you did an excellent job!

Emotional Impact:

Your words drove home the emotion that a mother, inspite of receiving no love herself from her own, she made sure that her daughter would have all the love that she didn't. To know that a mother was so loved, that a daughter would want to become her mother to make sure that her mother received the love that she was given, held such an emotional impact.

Grammar/Punctuation:

I saw no errors here. I feel your punctuation was write on! Thank you for your well-written and beautiful poem! What a beautiful and original tribute to a mother!Janicew
