One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

Poem

My squiggle, the little mark on the page surrouded by the big important words

Told, known as a mistake since birth to everyone but I. How ironic.

Because you and I were at each other's throats before our eyes even met, and we always said we'd never like each other let alone love.

Known you for an exact year, about a month ago, but the memories could fill up ten.

You treat me like the child you don't have, like I NEED PROTECTION.

Annoy me like a brother, care like a best friend, love like a husband.

You always support my weaker side, holding me up when everything collapses around us, constantly making me feel perfect no matter how many times I say I'M NOT.

Those subtle flirts that make me blush. but that I brush off as nothing because I don't want this to change, I don't want us to change.

Those little sparks are sent flying in my direction and yes they burn but I numb the pain with the thought of your face, your eyes and smile, because they are my drugs.

You are my drug.

I am in love with my best friend.

But not in the romantic, mushy gushy, crushing on you way.

I'm in love with the person you are and how true you can be.

And no matter how much you try to change I won't let you.

I'll always be there to wash off the makeup that cloaks your true self.

Like when she left, and you were crushed, and you sat wincing at the pain but wished her luck and told yourself it was because of you, not her.

And those days you piss me off, I try to ignore you but end up missing you and the words that drove me away.

So yes you may not have been intended and you may not love who you are but I do.

Because without you I am a shadow, you are my missing link and if I am the paper, then I'm glad to have you as my little squiggle.

I'm stuck with you, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
