A BIRD WITH TIED WINGS

I am a bird with tied wings,
Limited by what others think of me.
I am a bird who can only sing
When others allow me.

I am a bird with tied wings,
I cannot do what I want.
I have to alter my words and calculate timing
If I want to be heard.

I am a bird with tied wings
singing what others want to hear.
But in my years of being tied
I learned if I don’t care what they think…

I become free and fly.

"MAN PLANS, GOD LAUGHS"

Man plans, god laughs.
how many times have we heard that?
Man plans, god laughs.
how come we still don't get it.
were still planning, he's still laughing

ask and you shall recieve.
most people say it's not true.
but there only missing the point.
god does not always grant us with what we wish for.
instead we are granted oppurtunities to find out we already had it.

knock and the door will be opened.
we shouldn't wait for oppurtunities.
there not always free.
ask for some, and you will succeed.

WE DON'T CRY FOR THE DEAD

We don't cry for the dead.
why would we?
they are in a better place.
looking down and watching over.

we cry for the family.
we should.
the loss of their loved one will not be forgotten,
as they go day to day without them.

we mourn the loss,
we cry for the family.
but we do not cry for the dead.
