The Blue Bird

It was spring, when i saw him the first time
- this sweet little blue bird -
trees started to bloom
people started to smile again
- and so did I -
'cuz this little blue bird
was singing just for me
the way he moved his head
the way he picked his food out of MY hand
the way he just could be
... this summer would never end
You are still with me?
little blue bird
still though
means not forever
"I'm not leaving you
I'll be in your heart
you will be in mine"
he said
and left me with the end of autumn

When A Friend Became A Part Of Me

After trying to fix my damaged heart, they decided it was hopeless.They took my heart and left the rest of me in the middle of nowhere on a big hill.
I was sitting there for a long time with that hole in my chest where my heart used to be.
It was a pretty chilly day, it was raining from time to time when this blue bird passed the hill. I asked him, what brings a bird beautiful like you to the middle of nowhere.
Well, we talked quite a while. It was getting very cold. So I let the blue bird sit in the hole in my chest to keep him warm. The bird fell asleep finally getting some rest. And I... I was just sitting on my hill, but felt like I had a new heart. Strong as I felt I stood up, left the hill and walked as far as I could manage. All I wanted to was to bring this blue bird out of nowhere to a place his way could be.
The sun rose as I got too tired to walk any further. My blue bird woke up in his place in my chest and sang to me to this gorgeous morning.
Then he saw some other birds and flew away...Immediately I felt cold and lifeless.
But the blue bird was coming back - with all his friends.
He placed me under his tree and made me part of his home.
- He sleeps still every night right in my heart! -
