One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

You Didn’t Tell Me

You didn’t tell me this would happen.
I hadn’t really planned on this.
I had everything worked out.
Things that developed were not on my list.

Absolutely, taking me by surprise wasn’t fair.
Hell, I didn’t think I’d even care.

You’ve slapped me with the admiration which took me over.
It’s more than the old story of roll me over in that clover.

I’ve fallen and I don’t want to get up.
I want to finish, listen, so, please don’t interrupt.

This has got to be real; it’s something I feel.

You didn’t tell me this would happen, at least not to me.
I had it all planned for my life, don’t you see?

The day I met you was a fling; I thought.
I didn’t know that I could be caught.

But, then it happened; I fell in love with you.
The surprise was overwhelming as I succumbed; it’s true.
This desire I have is also evident; this I can feel from you.

Your heart projected love through your eyes.
It caused the sensation between my thighs.

You didn’t tell me there would be more to come.
I don’t know how you did it but you struck me dumb.

Sex happened so quickly, another surprise.
I thought I could last, perhaps with more time-
Laughing and happy, gee, that was fast!

Only one solution will solve this dilemma,
It would be you and me, possibly forever.

You didn’t tell me that this would happen.
My life has now changed, now, for the better.
We’ll wear these rings for ever and ever.

You didn’t tell me, at all, about this.
Aren’t you beautiful and oh so clever!

Years have gone by now, and I feel the same way.
I wish you’d have told me it would happen this way.

You didn’t tell me.
