They could be
Now that there here
What to do with them
You’d like to share
But don’t think
You should because
They are yours
No one else
Will care or
Maybe
Care too much
“Power” 21
Everywhere you look
Frozen, cold ice
The branches glistening
Are very heavy
The wires laden
The trees falling
And broken
The hydro poles down
We now begin
The cold
Interval that is
Now ‘POWER’
First find candles,
Flashlights and batteries
Then starting to feel
The cold, the deep cold
The fireplace lit,
warming only there
No water, hot or cold
No flushing anymore
Going to bed dressed
Underneath mountains
Of blankets and
Shivering until warm
Survival has now
Become our
Only pass time
Survival of the fittest
Showers at the emergency center
Total ecstasy
Hot meals from ingenuity
Supplies at a premium
Despair sets in
Frustration and anger
‘WHEN’ we lament
Will we have ‘POWER’
"Sculpting" 22
As I stand here
Gazing at the
Beauty
Your all swirls
The detail
The work
The beauty
The cold
The air cuts
Like a knife
The cold like
Beauty
It must have
Hurt this cold
Cutting and sculpting
And watering
Body fluids
Sticking to your
Face
While you work
How beautiful
The finished
Piece
