One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.
On our website we can observe huge selection of electronic books for free. The registration in this electronic library isn’t required. Your e-library is always online with you. Reading ebooks on our website will help to be aware of bestsellers , without even leaving home.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

Hope of a New Day

Green buds springing forth

seen along the Southern State Highway

green buds spring forth

mean hope is not far way

lean branches pushing green buds forth

bring on new hope of a better day

This, Too, Shall Pass

These are dark and scary times for mankind.

Conflicting reports intensify stress,

deep despair afflicts and consumes the mind.

Remember, mankind has endured--survived

many dark, evil times before and thrived.

How many times has the existence of mankind

been threatened? How often was man distressed?

How often was there no hope for him to find?

And yet, humanity endured—survived

myriad dark, evil times still to thrive.

When fear and uncertainty fill the mind—

when calamity and darkness oppress—

when we seem to face the end of mankind,

remember mankind has endured—survived

myriad dark and evil times and thrived.

Know, better times are approaching behind

these times of darkness, evil, and stress,

to ease and comfort our troubled minds.

Know, even this crisis we will survive

and, all said and done, we will again thrive.

There is one glimmering hope we can find

to give peace of mind, to ease our distress—

a simple thought we must keep in our minds.

This is that ray of hope for us to find--

a simple golden truth: “THIS, TOO, SHALL PASS.”

When darkness oppresses, shove it behind,

hold to this shining thought for peace of mind.

Wind-Tossed Tree

My

mind is a

wind-tossed tree, standing firmly,

undisturbed by turbulent

gusts of storm blasts,

serenely

calm

Strong

wind-blown tree,

standing calm against

turbulent, tempestuous

violence of storm driven

gusts, swirling around

unbending

tree.

Swirling Wind

Mind caught in tempestuous, swirling wind,

thoughts forming wild, turbulent funnel cloud,

feelings, images whipping ‘round my head.

A calming breath brings sweet serenity,

disperses, thins thought’s cloud like density.

Each breath a gentle breeze that clears my head,

dissipating all troubling thoughts like clouds

calming the tempestuous, swirling wind.

Present in This Moment

Calm

feelings, thoughts

drift by; mindfulness

present in this moment, now.

Calm

Give Not Into Temptation

 Do!

No one’s here

who can bear witness—

no one to see, so why not

do?

Stop!

There’s One sees all that’s hidden

deep within the soul,

so, resist

Stop!

Calm

CALM

quiet

tranquil peace

steady stream of thoughts

ungrasped drift slowly by

sweet serenity remains

like a placid brook mind is calm

Solace and Compassion

 Solace:

comfort offered

in a time of

sorrow.

Compassion:

empathy—

kindness offered

to comfort.

Karmic Boomerang

Every thought, word, and action,

like a karmic boomerang,

comes flying back to us

The energy we put forth

is returned to us--

every thought, word, and action.

Negativity returns negativity,

positivity returns positivity,

like a karmic boomerang.

All we think, say, or do

flies out into the world, and

comes flying back to us.

Night Sky Serenity

Dark velvet night sky

sparkling with bright starlight

brings serenity

I Wish. . . .

I wish I was the man then that I am now,

I wish I had written then what I write now,

I wish I knew then what I know now.

Hmmm,

but then. . . .

What I know now was learned from what I knew then,

what I write now comes from what I couldn’t write then,

the man I am now is the offspring of the man I was then.

I wish. . . .

Hmmm,

but no!

Looking back

over the path my life traversed,

and reflecting on where I have come,

I am content.

Driftwood Afloat

As driftwood afloat

on the current of a stream

thoughts drift by then fade.
