Angelic
Just another day
Another day, to live, and say
The words that don't escape
But still, when I look outside
At the snow that waits for us
I am filled with happiness.
We run out, after quickly dressing
To play in the cool snow.
We make snowmen, and snowangels
And a million things
That make you glow; radient
I can amost see wings
And a halo above you, it would fit
Though it's something you'd deny.
Despite all of this, I
Could never get the words out
But, on this day, this moment
That's okay
Because we'll always have
Another day.

Days of Rain
Whish, whish, whish
Sounds the banner in the wind
Whish, whish, whish.
Badaaa, badaaa
The trumpet sounds
And the rain before the battle falls.
Badaaa, badaaa.
Shhhhhhhiing- shhhhhhhiing-
Swords are drawn
And sharpened in haste
Shhhhhhhiing- shhhhhhhiing.
Twang! Twang! Thud-
Arrows are shot
And the first men and women fall
Twang! Twang! Thud-
Fwhiiiiii-whhhoooooo-et!
A sharp whistle peirces the air
And so the battle begins
Fwhiiiiii-whhhoooooo-et!
...
Silence reigns over the realm now
And few are left standing
...
Clap... clap... clap...
The survivors turn at the sound
And a ghost walks among them
Clap... clap... clap...
Ah-hah, ah-hah-hah-hah-hah-hah-
The laughter starts
And it's chill fills the field
Stained red with blood
Ah-hah, ah-hah-hah-hah-hah-hah-
Dripdripdripdripdrip
The rain falls again
The battle is done
The field is empty
And the rivers run red
Dripdripdripdripdrip.
And we awake in bed
With these thoughts in our head
And look outside our window pane
Afraid that we've become insane
And through the rain, the almost-flood
Reigns a sea, a tide of blood.
...
And there is silence again.

Walking
You know, I...
I can't stay here.
I... I can't stay here anymore.
The days are dragging by
And... I...
I'm sorry.
I hafta go now
I... dunno if I'll return
Don't wait up.
I turn, and walk towards the door.
You are looking at me, broken,
I know, but I can't turn around
Can't look back.
You plead for me to stay
That you can change
That it'll be different
But I lower my head
And keep on walking.
I stop at the door, and say
Slowly, quietly
I'm sorry, I hafta go
You... I just can't...
You interrupt me, and say
No please, I'll stop, you
You can do whatever you want with-
I shake my head, and hear your harsh breathing
No. I can't stay.
Not anymore. I...
Pausing again, a sigh, heavily
I... I don't know if I'll be back.
Don't wait up.
My hand is on the door handle now.
I'll see you around.
And I keep on walking.

Fall
Is that all you got?
I taunt the wind
It seeks to push me off the mountaintop
But I will not fall.
The leaves and the snow whirl around me
And so do the currents of magick.
They try to pull me in
But I will not fall.
I know that she won't return
Not now, not ever
But I'll keep going
Keep holding myself high
On this teetering mountaintop
That seeks to push me
Off.
I will hold strong
Even if you never look
To me again, for anything
Not even to see if I've done wrong.
For a moment, my resolve wavers
As it always does
And this time
I pause, staring out
Into the open air.
I look away from the 'strings attatched'
And I contemplate the wind.
Will it carry me away from here?
I know part of me will remain
So I step towards the edge, of the mountaintop
I hear you call, one last time for me
To stop, stop, stop
But it's too late
And through the wind and leaves
And magick I fall, to the ground below.

Remain
In our day, it remained
A memory of all what was
We smile and run and laugh and play
But we hide behind a wall.
The winter winds are cool
Enough to see the fire
Miles away, calling me
Through the whispering air.
And it draws
Pictures, me in, dreams
And the world stops
For a moment to look.
The memory is ashes now
To us all, but a phantom
A Ghost of what could have been
If I had not ever come.
In our day, it remained
A memory of all what was
When we smiled and ran and laughed and played
But it remains no longer. Imprint
