give us the strength to thoroughly be unfailing in our duties, may we shield and defend in love to all mankind. You give us encouragement to be strong as we go from day to day, and we hope that all we do is secure. Amen

Prayer; 030

Father in heaven, we thank you. We thank you for the strength you give as they serve and do so faithfully. We come in prayer to you at this time today. We pray you will help them cope with all the unexpected things that come before them. Help us accept the interruptions as opportunities to serve. Help us to be supportive to all. Help us to manage well. Help us to allow your spirit to have full control and give us strength to fulfill their duties. In your name I pray, Amen

Prayer; 031

Great Architect of the universe in thy name we pray. Father, we want to be ever sensitive to those around us, when things seem overwhelming. Some of are weighed down with troubling circumstances that might overtake them if not for those of us who take them by the arm and pull them up from discouragement that ultimately sinks them further to depression or despair. As we walk hand to hand with those around us, weep with them in their sorrows and rejoice with them in their victories. Would you put upon our hearts today a strong desire to show love and compassion to these individuals. Help us to do our part to strengthen them. Show us a way that we can show genuine concern for them in their time of trouble with caring words and with a loving heart. In you we pray. Amen

Prayer; 032

Father, we want to help build a better way of life for our fellow men centered on home, family and country: with the teaching of these lessons from your word. Help us to instill these lessons for their knowledge by imparting wisdom. May we be living examples demonstrating these qualities that brings glory and honor to you. Because you have given us so much, may we now return as much. May ours be a place that stimulates creativity and opportunity for the study of ideas that can be shared and discussed. In your name I pray. Amen

Prayer; 033

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the wisdom you have given to us. It's a duty to watch we as overseers well perform. Will you grant us the health and strength they need to perform these duties. In your name I pray. Amen

Prayer; 034

Grand Architect of the Universe, you have given us your love. I know that your love for us is greater than we can totally understand. May that same love be applied to each of us, and that we can rely on that love you so freely give to each of us. Lord, I thank you that in the midst of trials we daily face, you are there. How assuring to know that you take great delight in us, and that you can calm the storms raging in our hearts with your love. I pray that in this day we would experience your love and compassion for us on a new level. I also thank you that you love deeply, and that you are very concerned with every challenge we face. I thank you that we all ways revere you, and your love will be displayed in a way that others will understand and recognize. I pray that within my spirit, they would somehow know that you are rejoicing over them with joy. In your Name, Amen

Prayer; 035

Great architect of the universe help us to live every day as you would have us to live and as we have been taught in your word: let us regard the whole human species as one family, as children of the same Parent, and inhabitants of the same planet; and to aid, support and protect all whom we can, as best we are able. Amen

Prayer; 036

Father God we come to you this day with gratitude and humble hearts, grant us the strength and wisdom to complete the work set before us and the lessons learned this day will be every lasting to our heart and mind. In your name we do pray. Amen

My Personal Poem 001

When I arrive in heaven I wonder how it will be,
To see my wonderful Saviour
The one who died for me,
All the wonderful things he will show me
When I walk through the gates,
The ones who's gone be for me
Who now in heaven wait,
To spend eternity with them
Never to part no more,
Yes the wonderful things He'll show me,
When I arrive in heaven
To live forever more.

BIO

I was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in Northern Californian in the Napa Valley area with the large extended family on my mother’s side. After the passing of my grandfather in 1960 we returned to Houston where I remained and finished school. I could go on at great length about this. Rachel, my wife, is the only reason I’ve made it this far and there is not a day that passes in which I am not overwhelmed by how lucky I am to have her. Or that she’ll have me, depending on how you look at it. She is everything to me and that’s the truth. And I haven’t even started in yet about our sons, Jerry and Joshua.

In 1974 I was ordained as a Christian minster of the Gospel. I became a master Mason in the Masonic Lodge, (A.F. & A. M.) in May 1984 and have served as a Chaplain for three years, In the last 25 years I have felt compiled to put forth a list of Masonic prayers that could be used by our fraternity and fellow Chaplain’s.
