When I first met Chance I didn’t think that I would fall in love with him, but I did and that’s okay.

Three Weeks Earlier
I was on my way home having to walk up the hill to get there I was so tired. I hadn’t realized when I walked into the door that my parents were arguing until I walked into the fight in mid madness. I looked up to see what it was about but Instead I got a right hand to the face.
“You stupid bitch!” my dad screamed at me as he raised his hands for another blow to my face. This time knowing what to expect I embraced myself for the worse waiting for the worse to be over with as my dad pushed me against the door banging my shoulder against the side of it. My dad cursed at me but I couldn’t hear anything he said over my mom screaming at him in the process. Finally she stopped and I heard him blaring at me words that I knew would leave me in my room bashed and crying in a few minutes.
“You whore, where the hell have you been?” he screamed
I could smell the whiskey on his breathes. He had been drinking again and when he got angry it was no stopping him.
“I was at school Dad,” I said “I promise you, I was at school.“
“Stop it Randall, she was at school leave her alone!” my mom screamed as she hit him long enough for him to step away from me to handle her. That was when I got away and took off running out the door. I didn’t know where I was going or who I was going to run into all I knew was that I had to leave that house and that I wasn’t going back, well not today I wasn’t.
