My name is Connor Foster, and this is the story of how I lost my
fi rst and only love. Everyone knows the story of Elisa Vander. The most
popular girl in school, the straight A student, and the love of my l ife.
Most girls want girls wanted to be her, most guys wanted to date her, but
I just wanted to save her.
El isa used to walk a long road to and from school. This road was
surrounded with trees that loomed over the road making it look l ike a
tunnel of foliage. Most people stay away from that road even in large
groups, well Elisa Vander wasn’t most people. The way her black hair
swayed in the wind and her eyes were pure blue l ightening that
captivated anyone. Yeah Elisa Vander was not most people.
On the beautiful days of the year no one expects bad things to
happen. I t was a normal day and El isa had just waved Hi to me on her
way to school. I wish I went to her school maybe things would have been
different. My daily morning strolled allowed me to see her every day, and
on weekends she would join me. I heard twigs snapping after she left in
the direction she was going, but I thought nothing of it because the forest
plays tr icks on you or so I thought.
A loud scream shook me out of a daydream, and stopped in my
tracks, turned and took off in a dead run. I t was when the screaming
stopped and the sounds of growling and barking increased did I sprint.
The first thing I saw was a too stil l and too pale El isa. Her body was
covered in scratches and bits of her clothes were scattered across the
ground, nothing bad enough to kil l, but a small pool of blood was
forming around her neck. Then I saw it, a large chunk of her throat had
been r ipped off. The blood splatters look l ike painted rubies on her
perfect face.
Not being able to handle the horrific sight in front of me, I broke
down into sobs. All I could do was watch as the police took my love away
in a body bag.
