I instantly said, "No." I told her that I do not want to continue and I need to go .I tried to convince her that I need my freedom .I explained her that I was always in love with someone else ,that I was sorry for her only and I wanted to help her .Of course that I still feel that deep affection and I need to protect her and she will always be a woman for me ,but this is not enough.I explained her that if she would continue to force me ,I would reject any gestures she made . I would ignore her forever .Suddenly I became very angry . I wanted nothing to do with this relationship.
To my surprise, she did not leave the room instantly. Instead, she hugged her knees and rocked back and forth on my bed. I watched her from across the room. Doubts crept up on me. Opportunity had knocked and the door was still locked. It might soon depart.
"I was afraid of what might happen if we became involved. I was wondering if it is better to take the chance .''I felt that she needed to hear that.
She told me she knew . I had made her realize how much she really wanted me to be her boyfriend. We decided to keep up this relationship .
Everything I said may have been true when I said it. But I'm still not sure.
I learned, that night, that I could be close to someone and the only important thing is the feeling, the connection. As long as there is something between two people they must go on . That something can grow and change.
Love just comes if you let it.
