When Love Bleeds For Peace


It was a day of solitude and thought,
a day brought my way by chance.
Out in the park I found an angel there,
it was a vision of a hero in a bent stance.

Alone he stood alongside the stream there,
looking towards a place I wasn't sure where.
I stood beside him in silence and felt loves embrace,
for upon his vision I read a story upon his face.

Tears streamed down his face
and his body vibrated with pain,
He wiped at his face and his composure regained .
Looked my way and saw, I had tears as well;
and he reached out and touched me
and replied we each own a little piece of hell.

I was without words yet I embraced him that day,
asked if he had a little time to spend with me along the way.
He knoded his head and motioned to a bench nearby,
and on that very day we shared as one our lives.

What brought you to the edge of heaven
on this fine day he replied,
for I come here every day to feel his embrace
and to renew my life.
Times of the past often haunts me and my mind falls,
but here beside heaven I can hear the Lords call .

I looked into his weary eyes and saw the lines
of life that etched his face,
it told of sorrows and pain of loved ones lost
a history you could almost trace.
As I began to talk I told him,I whispered
mine are nothing compared to yours Im sure ,
but he squeezed my hand and replied don't be too sure.

You see honey life is dealt to us all and we do our best,
sometimes we go through a war in another country but yet .
There are wars right here on our country one lead by drugs,
and honey its a slow death for most young people lead by thugs.

You see your friends and families souls sucked away ,
just as I saw my commrads out on the field that day.
You wear the scars of a war
from which you brought to yourself ,
and honey both wars are the workings
of the devil both are pure hell.

I thought on what he said that day
as my body began to shake,
another downward spiral
needing another fix I would say .
I took his hand and asked him sir
would you save me today,
for the elixer of the devil
is needing to have it's way.

As he turned to face me
his eyes filled with so much love,
he asked me that very moment
dont you think you have had enough.
No one can make that decision for you
but yourself my dear,
and know if you ever need my help
I will be right here.

From that day forward they were seen
right there on heavens edge,
sitting on that bench living instead.
Times of silence and times we learned
to laugh once again,
untill I went to meet him there one day
and he never showed again .

I never did learn what his name was
and upon that very day ,
I saw what it was he had done
to save me those long days.
I bowed my head in prayer
and as I sat there on our bench I felt,
a touch on my hand and I wept.

There are different forms of war some afar some right at home both are devistaing and both kill without thought .Isnt it time we lay all wars to rest and instead of killing embrace one another and save all the children today from the futures wrath of our uncareing ways
