"Zar!" I called. He had developed this crazy idea to go for a walk in the woods. Eleazar and I had been dating for about two weeks now. I was glad I had finally got the guts to ask him out. "Zar!" I called again. Silly boy just up and disappeared. "This isn't funny!"
I heard his laughter. I sighed, trudging farther into the brush. "Come on, Eleazar! Let's go back onto the path! I don't like this."
"Now where is the fun in that?" he asked, suddenly appearing next to me. I jumped. The boy moved like a ghost. His dark skin and dark clothes didn't help that much. His chocolate brown eyes studied me seriously.
I pouted, giving him puppy dog eyes. "But it's so hard trying to walk through the woods. You know how clumsy I am."
Eleazar simply rolled his eyes and walked away, leaving me to claw my way after him. Why was he acting so cold? I knew he was usually distant, but never like he had been acting that day. We had been friends for almost nine months before we got together, and we had become close rather quickly. Eleazar was the mysterious brooding kid of our kid, the one always getting into trouble but no one ever dared sell him out. I knew it was stupid for me to have gotten into a relationship with a well known badass, but I knew he had a good side. He wasn't seriously bad, only caused a little trouble here and there. Simple pranks.
"Come on, Belle!" Eleazar called over his shoulder.
