chapter one

A picture fell onto my face covering my view of the book I was reading. I sighed at the sight, another murder with no clues left behind.

“Male, tall around six; six, muscular, wearing a face mask, blue eyes, blonde hair peaking through the edge of the mask, and pale, an unusual pale. You found the body at the club 65 on Trade Street, however she wasn’t from there. It was the less visited club across the street Nightcore. Good luck, boys,” I told with all the information I could gather from the picture of the twenty two year old women. They all stared in awe; although they’ve seen me do this a thousand of times they still never find it any less different. They scattered away after another minute of gaping, some running from me and the others actually going to do their work. Setting my book aside I followed them out of the break room. They were all heading towards the police cars, I suppose they’re going to Nightcore. Disquietly I followed them all the way there, where there was another murder in the making. The crowd from Nightcore was swarming out of the club to safety as the detectives rushed in to stop anyone from dying. However with a hammering headache I could make out the scene of the male’s death, even with no picture. I ran in despise the immediate danger I would put myself in. While making way to one group who was being pulled off another, I grabbed the head detective and emotionlessly pointed to the tallest one.

“He murdered the women and this man,” I whisper, however the place was so quiet that it was loud and clear. Everyone turned and looked at me, including the man who wondered how I knew. Although I know the reason for his killings now that I see him in person, I still had to let them know he was the killer. He gritted his teeth punching away the cops attacking him with handcuffs, handguns, and etc. He walked towards me unharmed by them, unfazed I waited for him to come to a stop. By the smirk plastered on his face I could tell what would happen next. He picked me up with one arm under my butt the other on my back, then ran away, fast, like his unusual pale skin this was also unusual.

“Vampire,” I murmured in his ear once he came to a stop at a mansion, a large one at that. He placed me back on the ground. The moment my feet hit the ground I went running, not nearly as fast as he, but it more rather the idea not the logic. If I ran he knew that I could tell what would happen next, he wouldn’t only kill me but much worst.

“You know, yet you run,” he tempted when he grabbed at my wrist flinging me back into his board chest. His words ran through my head, I know yet I don’t want to. I struggled against his grip, my way of telling him that he wouldn’t win, even though I knew that he would.

“The reason that I run is because I know,” I retorted wiggling in his grasp I longed to get out of while I still wanted to. He will kill me and I know this because I am the goddess of death. However I will not die completely, he also knows this, he knew this the moment he saw me. The moment he realized I was a death seer.

“Come,” he demanded pulling me along with two secured arms around me. He commanded it almost as if I had a choice.

This guy was bringing me to Seth. Even if I ran I would meet my fate. And somehow Seth that alpha wolf is my fate.

“Can I ask what a vampire is doing working with werewolves,” I questioned in a way to tick him off. He grunted at the question but didn’t answer. Instead he pulled me into his car and locked me in. Ah, this is a nice way to spend my afternoon; I wish I had my book though I wasn’t finish reading it.
