"Liana"My mother yelled.I raced downstairs."I'm going out,after your done washing your hair you can go outside".It was to good to be true.With that she left.I washed my hair and ran outside with my dog."Hello chicka"Deandre laughed."Stop trying to be mexican"I smirked.He sat on the bench with me and my friend Ashanti.Just as I was about to ask Ashanti a question.My phone rang. "Liana where are you"."I'm kicking your butt as soon as you get in the house".My heart begin to beat fast and I knew I was about to get hurt.My steps begin to become slow,and it was hard to breath.I slowly opened the screen door and walked in.My mom was sitting on the chair with a stitching cord.She started walking fast."Mom can I explain".She smacked the cord onto my face,and I let out a agonizing scream.She continuesly whipped me with the cord,as I begged her to stop she refused.Then she finally stopped.I sat on my bed and cried.Then I heard her stomping back up the stairs.I begin to cry because I knew she was coming back to hurt me again.She burst through the door,and begin whipping my with the cord. "Mom please".With that outcome she smacked the cord on my face.I tried to block my face."Since your putting your hand in your face,I'll help you out"she screamed.She begin hitting my hand with the cord.She punched me in the face."That's for not washing the dishes".THen she walked out.I cried and cried."Why God,out of all moms you give me her"I whispered."God please let all this change".For two hours straight my body wouldn't stop shaking.I cried and cried.For the first time I was scrared that if I close my eyes the stinging of a cord would be hitting my legs.My dog came in coddled beside me.She was trying to protect me.Once when my mom was hitting me with a spiky belt my dog when over me and took the whips.My mom pushed the dog away,and still whipped me.I stroked my dog's soft brown hair. "Don't worry lassie,one day were going to run away from this hell house".I pushed myself to smile at her,because I knew she was scared and worried for me.I stayed up all night just so I could be aware of my surroundings.Finally I closed my eyes and fell asleep."Beep,Beep".I jumped up,but wobbled and fell.i couldn't move not once.I looked down at my sore bloody ankles.My brother knocked on the door.As he opened the door I began to see his puffy eyes.I then knew he was up crying last night.I smiled softly and tried to keep a tear from rolling down my cheek.
