Sometimes happy, Sometimes Sad

This is a romantic fun filled mystery story of a girl named Nae. She lives in L.A but has a Japanese background. Nae goes to a school called Marina Blue High. She faces a huge tragedy by losing her parents and become an orphan. Then she has to live with her aunt who becomes sick and then has to leave her behind to her county a she cannot afford to take Nae with her. If that wasn’t bad enough Nae then loses her job and her home and also her best friend who suddenly gets transferred without informing Nae. After leaving her house she is left outside of her school and then mysteriously a guy asks her to work in his house as a live in maid. Yes it’s one of those maid stories. The deal is she works in hi house and gets paid until she can get a job and afford he own house. What she didn’t know was that two other men live in that house too! What will Nae do?
In LA there is a high school which is very different to other schools. It is a private school for high students who are either rich or own big companies. The principle of the school is Japanese and therefore he likes the school to have the same qualities and value of a normal Japanese school. His school is called Marina Blue High.
There is an optimistic naïve cute girl who lives named Nae. She was born in Okinawa however although she has never been there she has all the qualities, values and has been brought up as she would have been back in Okinawa. Nae’s parents had come to LA and a few years back they had their own company and lived happily until her parents sided of sickness one vacation back in their home country and someone else had taken over their company.
Nae was let alone and the company was no longer in her family’s name. She then had to move into her aunts home and but she became very sick and she wanted to go back to her parent house in Okinawa to be looked after. They could not afford for Nae to go as they were poor ever since they lost their company. Nae assured her aunt that she would be able to look after herself and then she lived by herself. However things took an unexpected turn for Nae at her job, in the Newspaper agency.
Her boss was very sad to say this but someone had to go.
“I’m sorry to say this to you Nae, as you are a very hard worker and a delightful employee but we must let you go as we cannot afford your salary. I’m sorry but there is nothing else I can do”
Nae was shocked. She didn’t understand what was going on. How could they leave her as she had been looking for a job with great difficulty and had finally found one, now they are firing her? The rent is due soon and Nae had already used up her last salary for groceries. There is nothing that can be done now.
“Its’ okay I understand, I can always find another one. Thank you for taking me in and it has been a pleasure working with you. I will pack my things and leave soon, good bye”
She left the room trying not to cry and thought and thought about what she is going to do now. She has to find another house or somewhere else to live as it would be getting dark soon.
When Nae got home she dropped her bag and keys on the kitchen table and slummed on her chair. What was she going to do if she lost her job? He couldn’t give up?
“No I won’t give up, I will try my best to find another job and that too soon, but it is not going to easy”
She sighed deeply and got up and made herself tea. At the corner of her eye she noticed a letter at the bottom of the front door. She picked up the letter and curiously read the letter. T was from the landlord.
“Dear Nae, your rent is well over due and you haven’t paid for last two months so you have to pay your rent until 6pm. If you cannot pay you will have to leave the house.”
Where is Nae going to get so much money from? How will she pay it in time and that only gives her two hours to find some money. Nae cannot get a loan as she is not old enough. It is already 4pm and she had family that she can ask for money from. Who should she ask for help? He has two friends, Janice and Emma but Janice lives in a small house with 6 family member so it wouldn’t be fair to ask her and Emma lived with…actually Nae has never talked about her family before. Her parents are both divorced. Emma’s mum left and went to Spain leaving her behind with her father. Her father owns a media cooperation. They are very rich.
Nae picked up her things and went to get a bag and a suitcase and shove it on her bed. She then took everything she owns and neatly placed them in her bags in the remaining two hours she had she might as well pack her bags. She left the keys on the table and let a note for the landlord saying she has left the house. Nae picked up her bags and suitcase and went out the door. As she walked down the street the sky had become dark. It was winter so it became dark earlier. She had no idea when she was going and she kept on walking until she was too tired to walk.
Strangely she ended up sitting on a bench outside her school Marina Blue High. Suddenly she felt a drop of water on her nose. She looked up and another drop fell on her lips and another and another and then it started to rain profusely. She used her duffel bag as a shelter from the rain. She looked up and realise that she was standing right in front of her school, Marin Blue high. It was now 6pm and the sky had become dark and she was all alone. It rained heavily and there was no on around. Nae looked up at the sky as it rained on her face, “God please help me, I have faith in you”.
Nae decided to call Emma on her phone. She took out her phone from her pocket and lipped It open. She dialled her number and waited for it to ring. It started to ring and Nae had some hope. The phone was answered, “Hello, who is speaking?”
That didn’t sound like Emma at all. Who is this woman? Where’s Emma?
“Err this is Nae. I am Emma’s close friend”
The women on the other line pause for a moment.
“I am her mother Janet. Are you Nae or Janice?”
Nae quickly answered, “I am Nae, where is Emma?”
“Well I am sorry but Nae has been transferred to another country”
What? she was transferred? That doesn’t make any sense. She wouldn’t just leave without a reason and she would have told Nae and Janice first. On top of that she didn’t even say good bye. No that can be true. Something is wrong about this.
“I don’t understand, why has she been transferred? Is she coming back? I can’t…”
“Look I cannot tell you the reason why she left but all you need to know is that she is safe. She is not coming back so if I were you I would forget her as she will not be returning. I am sorry that you have lost your friend with no warning. I am glad that my daughter had such a caring friend like you. Good bye”
The phone then disconnected. She slowly put the phone away from her ear and placed it back in her pocket. She couldn’t understand what was going on? Why would she transfer so suddenly? We are best friends she would have told me if she was leaving beforehand. We have known each other since we were 8 years old. Nae gasped, “Is she in some sort of trouble? I need to find out where she went and why this happened. That is my new goal”
She sat there in in the rain and waited for nothing until he could think of something to do. She then heard the sound of a car coming from the right and then she saw the headlights. The car was black and sleek. Nae thought that there must be someone rich in that car. The car stopped and the door opened. Nae was scared and hoped that they weren’t going to come near her. The person hat came out of the car was a guy in a black suit and he was very handsome. He had black short hair and had glasses on. He must be a guy that owns some sort of a company. However he did look quite familiar to her. The guy took out his umbrella and popped it open and then then slowly walked over to Nae. She stared at him and wondered why he was doing this. He stopped and looked at her for a while. The rain pitter pattered. Nae was she was drenched and soaking wet. She could barely see him as it rained heavily and was now quite dark. He began to speak. She thought maybe he would say “are you okay? May I help you?” but she was wrong. Instead he said, “What’s wrong with you? Why are you sitting out here on your own and in the dark?”
She stared at him and didn’t reply. Nae just looked down towards her bag. He also looked at her bag.
“Are running away? Were you thrown out?”
Nae didn’t respond.
He got frustrated, “look can you just get off the street or go somewhere else”
Nae suddenly looked up, “excuse me?”
“yeah you heard me. Girls like you keep your bags near you and stand in the rain alone so that guys with cars can pick you up and take you home right? Is that what you want? I guess your broke and need a place to live that why you are doing this”
Nae tried to explain herself, “no absolutely not. You have misunderstood me. I am not like that. Actually it’s a bit of a story”
He stopped her, “I don’t have time for that. Just leave”
What where was she going to go? She has no money and no food and nowhere to rest her head. What was she going to do now?
“But please listen to me first. Actually...”
“I said leave! If I see you here again ill call security”
He walked away and got back into the car. The car screeched and drove down the lane. Nae stared sadly. She had no idea what to do. She missed her aunt. She missed her parents and her friends. She was a happy, hardworking student and now suddenly she has no one and is on the streets with no home, food or money. How did it come to this?
As Nae walked down the path holding her suitcase and duffel bag she sadly cried to herself and looked around. There was no one around. It was an empty wet road. It rained even more heavily and
