Kidnapped by Tiana Webb (novel24 txt) 📖

I feel myself wavering in and out of consciousness as I listen to a garbled voice telling me that I deserve everything that they'd done to me and that I was lucky I'd killed "him", whoever that was. I can't remember any of it but my whole body screams in pain from it. Instead of focusing on the pain, I focus on the movement of the car and the smell of the plastic I'm laying on.

The car suddenly stops and one of the back doors opens and closes. I move away from the door I'm leaning against just in time to avoid falling out when the passenger door opens. Someone grabs hold of my shoulders, lifts me up and out of the car and dumps me unceremoniously onto the sidewalk. I nearly sob in relief when I hear the guy get back into the car and drive off.

I take a few deep, calming breaths and grit my teeth as I slowly and carefully get up off the sidewalk. My head swims with the movement and I stand there with my eyes closed, gritting my teeth harder against the pain and dizziness. I slowly open my eyes as the dizziness passes and I gasp in shock as I take in my surroundings. I'm standing out the front of my school. I slowly make my way towards the doors to the hall, drawn in by the lights that are on. The lights aren't on after school unless there's an important meeting or something, meaning someone's in there, someone who can help me.

I finally make it to the door and lean against it, out of breath from the pain. I open the door and cautiously look inside. Practically everyone from my school is there dressed in black and crying. Someone popular or important must have died, judging by how sad they all are. I'm about to step through the door when I glance up at the stage and see a picture of myself, a picture surrounded by flowers and candles.

What? I'm not dead. I may feel close to death but I'm pretty sure I'm not. I step out of the shadows unsteadily, determined to show them I'm alive, and almost fall flat on my face. I regain my balance and look up just in time to see the guy I'd had a crush on before this mess look at me in surprise. I watch as the surprise turns to concern and he rushes over to me. By the time he reaches me, I've fainted and I hear everyone's gasps of surprise and relief as I give in to the empty blackness, away from the pain and the memories.

Hey guys. obviously this isn't the whole story since it says prologue but it may be all I write. I don't really know if it's a good book and I'll only continue reading if I get at least one person liking it. I only put it up because someone dared me to... :)
