Chapter 1
Split In Two

Kaylee's P.O.V.
“Um, you should keep your eyes on that road.” I said, catching Liam’s eye. Instead of him looking at where he was driving, he kept glancing back at me and Jeremy. (weird much?) “My car, I can do what I want!” Liam basically growled the words at me. So I let out a exaggerated sigh (or what I call “Who the F. Cares Sigh”). Then I met Jeremy’s intense gaze, with those green eyes I’ve grown to love SOOOO much. And decided to not let Liam get to me. (He’s been acting weird now-a-days every time I’m with Jer). I put my light brown hand against Jer’s slightly tanned white cheek, then ran my hand through his brown hair. Gosh I love this boy!!!! As soon as I had that thought “Hey There Delilah” by the Plain White T’s came on the radio. So I yelled at Gabby to song up, which she did. :)))))))
“Ohhhhhhh it’s what you do to meeeeeeeeee
Ohhhh it’s what you d-”
After that part of the song, everything seemed to happen in slow motion, like in the movies. Liam turned from the song (just to get on my nerves I suppose), Gabby started yelling at him for doing so ( it was her favorite song too), Jeremy whispered that he loved me, then he managed to put himself in front of me. Why????? I had no clue. I heard a Gabby scream or maybe it was me, I don’t know, because I blacked out after that.

With my eyes still closed I can feel the brightness of the lights, waiting until I open my eyes to see them. Oh great! So I decided to slowly open my eyes, hoping that I’m in a hospital not on my way to heaven. (I’m not ready to die yet, cause I have Jer) Jer!!!!!!!! I shot up from the hospital bed, with my eyes huge, remembering what happened . I felt my heart break, just a little.
I NEEDED TO KNOW.
“Jer?! Where’s Jer???” Some part of my subconscious mind knew, but I just didn’t want to believe.
“Kaylee! Oh thank God your awake!” My mom yelled as she ran to where I still was on the hospital bed. Her brown eyes streaming with tears as she hugs me and kisses all over my face.
“Where’s Jeremy?” I asked again, I swear I can feel my heart slowly breaking at the seams. Please? My mom slowly pulled back, her eyes looking everywhere but my face. She pushed her wavy black hair out of her face. A woman with red hair and blue eyes walks in the room. Who the heck is she? Ohhhhh, some part of my mind noted she was a doctor. -__- (she had on one of the white jackets) “Kaylee Williams”, she said but my attention was already on her. I didn’t say anything, I wanted to hear what she had to say. My eyes start to sting from watering. “I’m so sorry to say, Jeremy Collins ha-” She didn’t have to finish, I didn’t want her to finish. I jumped out of the bed, the IV still in my arm pulling my skin. I tried to take it out, I had to see him, Jeremy has to be alive. He can’t leave me, he promised! But the male nurse or whoever he was, took my shaky hands from it. “You need to rest.” he said. “JEREMY!” I screamed and it took all the breath out of me. My heart finally split in two.


Chapter 2
Suffering

They let me leave the hospital the next day, I only had a few scratches. But that didn’t matter cause I’m suffering from a unbearable heartbreak. And the doctors couldn’t do anything about that. Liam and Gabby are okay physically like me. Jeremy, My Jeremy is gone, dead.
And I might as well be.
