(Chapter 1 Summer Camp)
Summer sat there with her group of friends at summer camp. They were talking about the new movie Eclipse. “So wasn’t it just SO HOT when Taylor Lautner took off his shirt!” Her friend Jenny exclaimed. Sandra rolled her eyes. “Just shut up Jenny! We all know your team Jacob so you don’t need to remind us!” Summer laughed at Sandra. Sandra was a close friend of hers. “Well personally I think Edward is wayyy hotter than Jacob.” Sandra said poking Jenny’s nose. Jenny waked her hand away. Intercom - Please campers report to the cafeteria for lunch thank you- “Well I guess were going to the cafeteria.” Summer said. Her and her friends stood up and walked to the cafeteria.
(Chapter 2 weird kid...)
“Where do you wanna sit summer?” Jenny asked. Sandra was already in front of them so they both shrugged and followed her. They all sat down when the group of odd kids that didn’t talk much sat next to the table next to them. A kid Dawn looked at Summer. Summer turned to Sandra. “Sandra I think that weird kid was checking me out…” Sandra’s eyes went big. She leaned over and sure enough he saw him looking at Summer as if he wanted to make out with her or something. “Ha ha you got a lover!” Summer rolled her eyes. (Chapter 3 FOOD FIGHT!)
He threw a grape at her to get her attention. What the quackers! She thought. Summer turned around and threw a chicken wing at his forehead and stuck her tongue out. Dawn smiled and she just rolled her eyes. “Looks like you two are bonding!” exclaimed Jenny! Then all of a sudden Dawn threw his whole tray at her. That is it she thought! Summer got up took her tray and dumped it on his head. That should do the trick! But he ran up to her and threw mash potatoes on her head. Then they started a major epic food fight with all the other campers.
. Then camp counselor Leslie Jones walked in with we mega combat boots. I’m dead Summer thought. “Ugh stupid kids! Come with me now!” Leslie said. If she were allowed to she would rip my head off. We both walked to her office.
(Chapter four Why did you do that!”
“You both sit here and think of what you have done!” Leslie stormed out. “Well that went well!” Summer said sarcastically. “Hey I’m sorry I just wanted to talk to you but apparently throwing a grape at a girls head really doesn’t help.” Dawn said disappointed. Summer nodded her head in agreement. “You know if you like a girl you ask her out or just start a conversation. Not starting a food fight.” “Does this count?” he asked. Summer smiled and shook her head. “No but maybe we can start over. I’m Summer.” “I’m Dawn. Nice to meet you Summer.” They both smiled at each other then looked away. “Hey stupid! You can leave! But I suggest making your way to the cafeteria and clean it up!” Leslie said. They both sighed and walked to the cafeteria.
(Chapter five Bonding)
They both made their way to the cafeteria. It was the worst mess ever. “I can’t believe we started this!” Dawn said walking around. “Ya and I can’t believe you started this.” Summer said sarcastically even though it was true. He just shrugged and handed her a mop. “So Summer since we’ll probably be spending a couple of hours together maybe we should get to know each other. So tell me about yourself.” She looked at him. “Well I’m from Atlanta and my family is snotty and trashy. It’s kind of annoying.” Dawn looked at her. She looked like she came from some loving family not some trashy one. There was a long silence. “Well what about you Dawn. How’s your family?” He thought about it. “Well they all love each other; I mean family is the most important thing to my family…” Summer smiled at the thought. They were nearly done cleaning. Dawn was disappointed that they were almost done. “Hey I was wondering if you wanted to hang out tonight. Like maybe catching fireflies?” He asked. Summers face brightened. “That sounds great see you then.” She walked out of the cafeteria. Finally Dawn’s love life was looking up.
(Chapter 6 Date night)
“It’s beautiful out.” Summer said. Dawn smiled. Success! Dawn thought. “Hey so do you want to catch some fireflies?” he asked. “I would love to!” She took his hand and ran to the meadow. He blushed when he finally discovered she was holding his hand. “There!” she exclaimed. Dawn took a jar out of this messenger bag and handed it to Summer. “Here you get a head start I’ll catch up with you later.” She did what he wanted her to do. He searched for the jar in his bag. There it was! He picked up the jar and stood up and looked at Summer. She was laughing and running around chasing fireflies. Dawn joined her laughing and chasing them also. Then she plopped down on the grass laughing, trying to catch her breath. He sat next to her also out of breath. “Thank you so much for asking me to come do this!” Summer said. “Well your welcome.” Dawn looked at her. “Hey you know I’m a vampire right?” She looked at him not surprised. “Ya I kind of guessed that. For example in track the other day you finished before anyone else. Not a surprise.” He smiled at her. “And you know I really like you right?” She smiled at him then kissed him on the cheek. “Well I do know.” She got up, held his hand and walked back to the campsite.
(Chapter 7 Back Home a tiny chapter)
It was the last day of camp. And Dawn offered to give Summer a ride home since he lived 3 houses down from him. Summer said bye to Sandra and Jenny and said she’d visit them some other time. Summer got in Dawn’s car and drove off.
(Chapter 8 The accident)
Over the summer (the season) Dawn and Summer’s parents started bonding and hung out a lot. So there parents decided that they’d go on a camping without Summer and Dawn.
They were on the road. It was about 11:00 at night and they were all so tired until a drunk driver swerved into different lanes hitting Dawn’s parent’s vehicle while they were still driving. The car swerved and spun all over the place. The car kept spinning until it hit another car and rolled over. Police heard what happened and they went to investigate. They found all of the passengers dead. They called Summer and told her the news. She told Dawn and so now they both share an apartment with each other.
(Chapter 9 Summer rain)
