The sky is a grayish black on my side of the wall. Everything is either black or white. This isn't my choice of a life style, but I guess I will have to live with it. My mother is the Biggest raciest I have ever met. She doesn't approve of me even looking at someone who isn't of the Caucasian ethnicity.
She wasn't always racist. I remember a time when I was very young, we had black neighbors. They were very nice people. They always invited us over for tea and muffins. Charelston was their last name. My mom was best friends with Edna Charelston. Edna always dressed in her Sunday best. She looked so professional, but she was just a stay at home mom. Her husband on the other hand was a police officer. He was big and rough looking. He looked angry all the time, but he wasn't. Everyone who knew him called him the teddy bearWhenever we went over to Their house he always gave me a piece of chocolate with a white coconut filling and said "this piece of chocolate is very special. this piece of chocolate speaks a message. you know what it says?" I always knew what he was going to say but I for some reason I loved to here his voice so i would shake my head no and he would say " It says that blacks and whites can finally come together as one."
